Exercising in VR can bring heat, sweat, and discomfort. From knuckle grips to battery straps, here are the accessories we use to make VR fitness better:

The robots are coming! I can't wait.
The first versions will obviously be very limited in what they can do and will likely fail to complete a task if it is overly complicated. We might have to change our living arrangements up a little to reduce confusion initially. For example, buying a bed and coverings like the ones they are most used to. Or buying towels that have unique patterns to make them stand out from the counter they are laying on. Simple stuff.
That initial phase of adapting to the robots will be a short one.

I made a guided “breathing break” app with @grok after reading about the 4-7-8 technique and how it can help with work focus.
It chooses a random sexy photo of my wife from the private engagement photoshoot she did for me.
It starts completely blurred out.
After every round of breathing, it un-blurs it a little until it is completely un-blurred. 😍
PERSONALIZED MOTIVATION! Should I take a breathing break? Oh yeah, I can definitely spare a few minutes for that now. Haha.
It took me like 10 minutes to create. It is stored on my laptop only, obviously, and I work from home.
Within a year, everyone will be able to create feature-length movies just from voice prompts. It's getting easier and easier!
I believe mass media will eventually die and we'll each have our own hyper-personalized movies, interactive worlds, games, and music.
We'll experience it in our own persistent VR simulations. Friends and family are invited!
Family movie night turns into an epic adventure that we all go on together!
TALES OF GRIMWICKE — Chapter I is 22 minutes of AI fantasy animation inspired by the many anthropomorphic animal stories I read as a kid, with a dark twist:
The model: Seedance 2.5 (@ByteDanceSeed_ ) via @Segmind_ai. 847 takes generated, mostly 30-second multi-shot prompts, over 5 hours of footage. 127 clips made the cut. About $4.5k in generation, four weeks from first take to publish.
Characters and locations came out of @midjourney. Using MJ for the location plates was a revelation: the cinematography and art direction are a level above, and it renders far better as a plate than Nano Banana or GPT Image. Nano Banana (@GoogleDeepMind run on @fal) did the heavy lifting editing those plates, building anchor frames and turning MJ characters into turnaround sheets. Then I let Seedance do as much of the framing and camera operating as possible. That gave the best results.
A lot of what I do in my Unreal Engine films came with me: a handheld, imperfect camera operator instead of smooth moves, focus hunting, and above all weather and atmospherics. The model does water, snow, smoke and rain really well, and leaning into that is what keeps it from looking like a Temu Pixar film.
The tools I built: a portal (Node on @flydotio) that holds the bible, the refs, every prompt and every take, with a Claude agent (@claudeai) that writes the prompts to the house rules. A Premiere Pro (@AdobeVideo) panel that browses the archive, drops selects on the timeline, versions the project, strips music, and sends fixes back to Seedance. Everything is done in 720p with no upscaling, because it looks terrible. Narration is my own voice through @ElevenLabs speech-to-speech. Music from @Artlist_io.
None of this would exist without @PJaccetturo and @Kavanthekid. Their narrative work, Nexus and Chronicles of Bone, proved long-form AI film was possible, and their podcasts, newsletters and X posts, updated constantly as the workflow changes under everyone's feet, showed how to actually do it.
Chapter II is currently in the works and I will release it initially on my YouTube channel, The Darkest Age (@CharlieDriscollAI). Consider subscribing there to see it as soon as it drops!

Thought to Speech in your own voice. Just incredible.
A person with ALS who cannot speak thinks "I love you", and technology gives those words back in their own voice.
This is the kind of post that makes you stop and just TRY to imagine what this type of technology enables.
Imagine in five years we have way smarter models that are 100x as fast. Almost everything is completed in real-time. Video, app creation, worlds... Everything would be generated instantly.
you can just hallucinate the entire internet with Qwen 3.8 27b running at 2,000 tokens/second?
part 2 of turning @cerebras + @Alibaba_Qwen 3.8 27B into an OS:
built an offline browser with zero network calls and mounted it directly the JIT ubuntu desktop.
no wifi. no scraping. zero packets sent to external CDNs.
you search a site, set a year, and qwen 27b at 1,950 tok/s synthesizes the entire DOM on the fly.
here is youtube in 2045 vs 1999:
→ search google for youtube inside the OS
→ scrub to 2045: instant futuristic feed
→ scrub to 1999: raw web 1.0 time capsule in seconds
at this speed, browsing isn't retrieving files from a server, it's querying an alternate reality.
a 2D browser window is just step zero.
imagine full operating systems, virtual worlds, and complex simulation engines existing purely as model weights. zero gigabytes stored on disk, just pure interactive reality streamed on demand.
What else becomes a possibility with the qwen 3.8 27b (dense) at 2000 tokens/sec?
The will transform society.
Real-time AI video is going spatial.
With Vidu S2, we demonstrate—to our knowledge—the first system for real-time interactive spatial video generation and editing for VR.
Imagine speaking to an AI character and feeling like they’re right there with you.
The character responds as the video generates, with synchronized left- and right-eye views that create depth and presence.
Transform a live video stream: change its style, clothing, characters, or surroundings, and experience the result in stereo.
A new kind of entertainment: immersive visual experiences shaped by your interaction.
What would you build with this? Explore Vidu S2-Avatar and Vidu S2-Editing below. Spatial video access is coming in a future release.

This study had two key findings:
• Frequent gaming was associated with improved cognition but did not affect mental health.
• Exercise improved mental well being but had no effect on cognitive abilities.
A rough conversion using z-scores shows an advantage of ~5 IQ points for frequent gamers vs non-gamers, and ~2 points for infrequent gamers.
My takeaway from the study is eat steaks, lift weights, and recover while gaming.
I'm a big believer that letting children play the right video games is way better than not playing any at all. Video games are motivation engines!
If a kid VOLUNTARILY spends 100 hours getting better at something because the experience is designed to make improvement exciting, that's worth paying attention to.
A great video game can take something that requires real effort like... reading, problem solving, planning, persistence, coordination, spatial orientation, fine motor skills, creativity, and wrap it in curiosity, challenge, progress, quick feedback, and fun.
And it's even better when you can do it together! Some of my best dad moments are celebrating when we finally find that last trinket or complete that difficult quest and save the world. It feels like a real co-operative accomplishment! Because it is.
This might not be the most conventional parenting approach, but I encourage my 8-year-old twin boys to play games a lot.
I believe gaming is one of the best ways to learn and solve problems. Games create a safe environment for children to experiment, make mistakes, fail, and try again.
I do have a few principles when it comes to gaming for my boys:
- Not all games are created equal. I curate the best games for them. Being able to discern good games (Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Minecraft, Rayman Legends, and LEGO games etc) from the more brainrot ones is important.
- I encourage them to try new games if I find them playing the same game for too long. New games mean new rules to learn, new stories to discover, and new problems to solve.
- I encourage them to use YouTube (under supervision) to research how they can get better at these games. It teaches them how to look for information, apply what they’ve learned, and experience the improvement for themselves.
I grew up on gaming and I want my kids to experience the best gaming has to offer as well.

Frequent video gamers performed on cognitive tests like non-gamers that were ~13.7 years younger
Our bet is that better AI will make films more personal.
So I made a film where hurting someone turns you into candy.
Would that make us civilised?
