🤬 OXFORD GROOMING GANG EXPOSED: CHILD SEX ABUSERS JAILED AFTER YEARS OF HORRIFIC EXPLOITATION A gang of child sex offenders who groomed and sexually abused a vulnerable teenage girl in Oxford were brought to justice after a major police investigation exposed years of exploitation. Assad Hussain and brothers Akhtar and Anjum Dogar were jailed for a combined 32 years in 2016 after being convicted of offences against a girl who had been targeted while living in care. Oxford Crown Court heard how the victim, known as Girl A to protect her identity, had been groomed with alcohol and drugs before being subjected to repeated sexual abuse. The teenager, who was just 15 when the abuse began, frequently went missing from her children's home. She was sexually assaulted at locations across Oxford, including Jackdaw Lane and East Oxford, while also being threatened at Shotover Park. The three men had previously been jailed following Operation Bullfinch, a major investigation into organised child sexual exploitation in Oxford. Hussain received a further 12-year prison sentence, while the Dogar brothers were each handed 10 years. The brothers' additional sentences were ordered to run concurrently with the life sentences they were already serving. Another convicted offender, Naim Khan, 38, of Herschel Crescent, Oxford, was found guilty of repeatedly indecently assaulting Girl A and supplying Class A drugs as part of his grooming and sexual exploitation of her. He was subsequently sentenced to nine years in prison. During the trial, the victim described what she called a "silent agreement" with the men, explaining how she was expected to perform sexual acts in exchange for alcohol and drugs. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Glover condemned Khan's actions, describing him as a predatory offender who had repeatedly exploited a vulnerable young girl. Khan was acquitted of other sexual offence charges, including rape. Further charges relating to a second girl were dropped after prosecutors offered no evidence. Two other defendants, Owais Khan and Alladitta Yousef, were acquitted of all charges in the 2016 proceedings. The investigation, known as Operation Sabaton, exposed further offending connected to Oxford's notorious child sexual exploitation scandal. All three men sentenced to the combined 32 years were made subject to sexual harm prevention orders and required to register as sex offenders for life.
