My son committed to play golf for @SewaneeTigers. Pumped for him!
One of the most beautiful campuses in 🇺🇸 & the best on campus golf course in TN.
It is a special place.
A couple thoughts this morning…
- I am reminded of the Vols win about every three seconds due to the cigar after taste
- how many times do I need to brush my teeth to make the after taste go away?
- I tried eating straight onions last night to get the cigar taste out.

Dixieland Delight was written by Ronnie Rogers in 1982. The inspiration for the song reportedly came while Rogers was driving down Highway 11W in Rutledge, Tennessee, a small town about 30 miles outside of Knoxville.
The premise of the song is that he and his lady friend, who I presume was wild as a mink and sweet as soda pop, were cruising down Highway 11W on a perfect Saturday night in East Tennessee. A Saturday night that I can only assume was spent celebrating Tennessee’s 35-28 victory over the No. 2-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in 1982.
In conclusion, Alabama fans have turned a song inspired by a Tennessee Saturday night with a Vols win over Bama, into one of their most beloved football traditions.
You’re welcome, Tuscaloosa.

I see @BladesBrown2026 & @TheRealD_Shore - both TN kids.
Doc Redman played on the Sneds Tour one summer and @ColeSherwood25 won a college event I created at Horton during Covid. He was a freshman at Vandy then.

Too many “last” for one day. High School golf was a great 4 years. Won the TSIAA Championship Sophomore season & took team to TSSAA State our 2nd year in that Association
The finishing holes at @SeviervilleGolf provide some great views of the Smoky Mountains.
Yall think they have a license plate for every day of the year or was I just lucky to run in to them today?
Played Firefly on Friday - @AugustRocco has it in great shape!
Nice layout, firm fast greens with a ton of front pin locations made scoring tough.
Played GCOT Upper 2 weeks ago. Now I need Bounty Club to round out the 3 new courses around Nashville.
55,000 steps this weekend!
Played Firefly and watched my son in the TN Junior Cup at The Grove.
Not sure if that’s a record or not, but it’s gotta be close.

The Tennessee Junior Cup has concluded - it’s the coolest event on the junior golfers schedule each year. I’m glad Grey was able to make the team twice.
And way to win the last 2 holes to secure a point for Team West today!
