If you want to hear some of the poems in this new collection and learn more about this project then come along to Grosvenor House on Friday 27th February at 7.30pm. Grab a ticket at tinyurl.com/hedgesongs
then come along and grab a book or two...
4 years on & I'm just as delighted (& surprised) to have a 2nd collection of poetry in my hand. Strangely I'm wearing the same jumper & fleece. I'm never going to get rich writing poems, especially when the proceeds are going to BCM's Dungannon & Armagh Parent Support programme.
In an unhelpfully hectic season, including a certain book launch, this is worth thinking about...

Following on from yesterday, here's a piece I wrote in the light of my recent trip to Rome and audience with Pope Leo as part of the @4cornersbelfast team virtualmethodist.blogspot.co…

To get the ball rolling here's a #poem I felt compelled to write last month in the wake of the first of two appalling deaths in Minneapolis.

I've not been on X recently, but am back to shamelessly push the launch of a new collection of #poems. To book see tinyurl.com/hedgesongs
With that in mind I'll also be sharing new pieces I've recently been posting elsewhere. Watch this space. @MartinJMagill @gymforthesoul
Just when you thought it was safe... After a long pause a short poem (and a ridiculousy wordy introduction...)

Tonight at our 7.30pm Tenebrae service in the Grosvenor Hall, we will hear the perspective of one of @paulargooder's "Women of Holy Week" on the events of Good Friday, but here's a piece I wrote 3 years ago offering another woman's viewpoint.

Another piece I wrote some time ago for Holy Week, this time in the voice of Simon Peter. I wrote it in 2019, only a few months before my one person play "The Farther Shore", but whilst it has a similar tone, it doesn't cover the same ground.

Another reblog this morning giving Judas Iscariot's side of the story.
