ALT In this gallery of photos, you can see an experiment from the week where we simulated coastal water and our own “satellite”, with the support of PML's Dr Victor Martinez Vicente, Dr Tom Jordan and Dr Daniel Clewley. The work links with the ESA funded work #HyperBOOST (www.hyperboost.info) and #MiTHO (https://mitho.org/) projects, which involve monitoring marine ecosystem health and threats by using in-situ #hyperspectral bio-optical and satellite measurements.

ALT The four projects include: PRIMary-productivity in Upwelling Systems (PRIMUS) - https://www.primus-atlantic.org/ OceanColour-CCI (OCCCI) - https://www.oceancolour.org/ Satellite-based observations of Carbon in the Ocean: Pools, Fluxes and Exchanges (SCOPE) Biodiversity in the Open Ocean: Mapping, Monitoring and Modelling (BOOMS) - https://booms-project.org/

ALT 11th April, 16:30 - 18:00: Session 3, Challenge 7: Science and Solutions for a Safe and Predicted Ocean presentation: Global capacity building for transformative, smart ocean observations and tools in response to the climate crisis and biodiversity crises. Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB), Pacific Ocean Room. 12th April, 08:30 - 09:45: Technology and innovation showcase, Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB), Caribbean Ocean Room.
