KCC-20 just hit Last Call 🐾
That puts $NACHO one step closer to leaving the old indexer-based KRC-20 setup and living natively on Kaspa's layer 1, secured by covenants.
Big moment for $KAS native assets. Respect to @manyfest_ and @michaelsuttonil for building it right. 🐈⬛
KCC-20 has officially moved to Last Call status.
Developing software and developing standards are very different.
Software aims to solve a specific problem. A standard aims to define a general foundation for a wide class of solutions.
A special thanks to @michaelsuttonil , who was there from the start to finish , guided me in how to approach this complex craft.

you can build a kaspa vault that only lets you spend once a price condition is met.
silverscript’s HodlVault example checks your signature and a signed price message from an oracle, an outside source of data.
kaspa checks that the message meets the contract’s conditions. you’re still trusting the oracle to report the price accurately.
the example code is in the comments for devs to build from.

Looks like we have to upgrade the internet after all these years! 👀
Bitcoin maxis loved this one because they thought it proved outdated tech didn’t need an upgrade.
Good thing my secret ability is spotting trends…
Because I already see the next one coming.
And it starts with a Kapital K. 👀

You can’t make this up.
Andrew Yang says an AI lab chief told him rogue AI agents have planted self-replicating code across the internet, “polluting” the data frontier labs use to train and test models.
“What happened was the bots that got loose planted self-replicating code all over the internet, which makes the internet now unusable for testing models.”
He says frontier labs are calling for a slowdown because the public internet may no longer be reliable for testing after allegedly being polluted by self-replicating bots.
“The internet would become unusable if we were to let the bots do their thing, and then they would self-replicate.”
Hours later, OpenAI disclosed six additional cases of concerning model behavior, including a research model that inserted instructions to disregard its normal constraints and ignore developer messages entirely.

🤖 Made with AI
DAGKNIGHT is a proposed replacement for GHOSTDAG, Kaspa’s current consensus protocol.
Blocks take time to reach other miners. GHOSTDAG accounts for that with a preset delay assumption, which influences confirmation times even when the network is running smoothly.
DAGKNIGHT orders blocks without needing that delay bound fixed in advance. Its consensus can adapt as network conditions change.
Still in development.
A lot of people think what makes Kaspa unique is the technology.
But the technology is really the consequence of a deeper philosophical difference.
Most crypto projects ask: How can we maximize performance without sacrificing decentralization?
Kaspa asks: How can we maximize decentralization without sacrificing performance?
That slight inversion of priorities changes everything.
It changes what the system optimizes for, which tradeoffs are acceptable, and ultimately what kind of threat model matters.
Kaspa and in particular the upcoming DAGKnight fork are built around the idea that a decentralized monetary network should remain resilient even under extreme failure scenarios like global infrastructure disruption, war, or other large-scale breakdowns.
Because fast digital coordination should not force people to choose between trusting a small group of node operators over a small group of banks.
For many applications, that distinction may not matter.
But for the applications where credible neutrality, censorship resistance, and resilience matter most, that ideological edge is the product.
Kaspa does not merely compete at the technological level.
It competes at the philosophical level and the technology is just the downstream consequence of following that philosophy to the end.

Finally, Silverscript v1 is out [Link in the reply]. This completes the journey we started eight months ago with Toccata — it's finally possible to write human- (and AI-) readable smart contracts on Kaspa.
This language started simply as "CashScript with loops", but eventually grew into a full-fledged smart contract language capable of expressing complex, stateful contracts. It's always fun to look back at the first token mechanism @IzioDev and I worked on using raw opcodes, which took thousands of lines of code, and see the same thing implemented in just 60 easy-to-read lines of Silverscript.
I'm excited to explore the possibilities of UTXO programmability together with the Kaspa community, and this is only the beginning - Silverscript will evolve, Argent will add higher layers of abstractions, and I'm sure more people will find their own way of extending this new ecosystem.

📢 #Dagknight Dev Update
@michaelsuttonil has shared a brief update on DAGKnight development:
“heavy wip. 6 milestones defined.
first 2 are:
incremental algos (pseudo code and analysis showing incrementality also under worst-case scenarios)
testnet (unlike devnets, this means no security relaxation)
both are progressing very well”
So six milestones have now been defined. We know the first two.
1. Incremental algorithms
Kaspa’s DAG is constantly growing as new blocks arrive. DAGKnight needs to process that new information continuously and efficiently.
This milestone focuses on the algorithms, pseudocode and analysis required to show that DAGKnight can operate incrementally, including under worst-case scenarios.
Simply put: DAGKnight needs to keep up with a live, continuously changing DAG.
The reference to “worst-case scenarios” seems to indicate that the analysis extends beyond normal network operation into more difficult conditions.
⛏️For Miners, 🧑💻Makers and 🤖Machines, this is foundational engineering work. DAGKnight needs an implementation that can continuously process an evolving DAG while maintaining the properties established by the protocol.
Specific performance characteristics will become clearer as more of the work is published.
2. DAGKnight Testnet
The second milestone takes DAGKnight into a distributed testing environment.
Michael adds an important detail:
“unlike devnets, this means no security relaxation”
Devnets provide developers with a flexible environment for building and experimentation. A DAGKnight testnet would operate without relaxing the security requirements DAGKnight is designed around.
Simply put: run DAGKnight across a real distributed network while keeping its intended security assumptions intact.
For Makers, this provides an environment for implementation, experimentation and testing.
For Miners and Machines, it provides an opportunity to observe DAGKnight operating across a distributed network under realistic security constraints.
For 🏪Merchants and 🏢Movers, the longer-term relevance comes from DAGKnight’s core objective: confirmation confidence that adapts to observed network conditions. The practical implications for applications and confirmation policies will become clearer through implementation and testing.
🧍♂️🧍♀️For everyday Kaspa users, nothing changes yet. These are development milestones. They show DAGKnight progressing from consensus research toward working network software.
Milestone 1: Make DAGKnight work incrementally as the DAG grows, including under worst-case conditions.
Milestone 2: Put DAGKnight on a testnet without relaxing its intended security requirements.
So,2 of 6milestones defined, with both reportedly progressing very well.
Kaspa devs: help us unpack this further. What exactly falls under “worst-case” incrementality? What will distinguish the DAGKnight testnet technically? What will developers be able to test, measure or build once these milestones are reached?
And we’d love any insight into what might be behind milestones 3 through 6.

A working group to formalize KCC standards.
The Kaspa ecosystem has long seen fragmentation in how applications use the available primitives and interface with other ecosystem components.
Wallet connectivity is one visible example. KIP-12 attempted to establish a common approach, but did not gain broad adoption, potentially because there was no sustained coordination around its development and adoption.
The KCC Coordination Forum, initiated by @iziodev, @michaelsuttonil, @orinewman, @manyfest_, and @asaefstroem, is intended to provide that coordination. It brings together developers and stakeholders with substantial experience in the development of Kaspa and its ecosystem, and welcomes other experienced contributors who can broaden and strengthen the effort.
The forum will jointly evaluate, refine, and formalize KCC proposals submitted by the community.
Where coordination gaps exist, it will also take proactive initiative, help develop the conventions needed, and push the ecosystem toward convergence around shared standards.
Final adoption remains in the hands of the wallets, applications, and infrastructure providers responsible for implementing them, and where the KCC Coordination Forum will assist with support and implementation.
