Obi-Kwankwaso Ticket Will Not Withdraw for Atiku — Kwankwaso
Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic
Congress (NDC), has firmly rejected claims that the party’s Obi-Kwankwaso (OK) ticket will withdraw from the 2027 presidential race in favour of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
In a strongly worded statement, Kwankwaso expressed deep concern over the conduct of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council. He accused it of launching unnecessary attacks on him, the NDC’s presidential candidate Peter Obi, and the party itself.
He said the ADC campaign team was creating mischief by suggesting that the OK ticket was working for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) or that it might step down at the last minute for the ADC candidate. Kwankwaso described such claims as unfounded and unhelpful.
“Let me state clearly and unequivocally: we will not withdraw our candidature for the ADC or any other party,” he declared. “We remain confident in our capacity, competence, and readiness to lead Nigeria.”
Kwankwaso added that the OK ticket is neither working for nor acting on behalf of the APC or any of its candidates, and that there is no possibility or reason for them to withdraw in favour of the ADC or anyone else. He urged the ADC campaign to focus instead on responding to serious allegations levelled against their own candidate by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

He admitted that the candidate the people wanted and voted for was very good but because he had a score to settle with the person that was promoting him, he rigged the election in favor of the illiterate that is now holding sway.
We are so cooked in this country.

BREAKING NEWS:
Former SGF, Babachir Lawal has accused Adamawa State NDC governorship candidate, Aisha Binani, of supporting ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar instead of NDC presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Lawal made the statement on his Facebook page tonight, days after he joined the NDC.
Lawal said the controversy followed a press release allegedly signed by six NDC governorship candidates opposing his appointment as the party’s leader in the North-East and North-Central.
He, however, claimed that Prof. Mohammed Sani Yahaya of Taraba State and Dr. Babayo Ardo of Gombe State had contacted him to dissociate themselves from the statement, alleging that their names and signatures were used without their knowledge or authorisation.
He further alleged that the protest was organised by a female governorship candidate from Adamawa State, whom he identified as Aisha Binani.
