in this guide, i’ll walk you through how to deploy a simple contract on base and claim the deployer role from guild.
→ step 1: create an etherscan api key
go to etherscan.io, create an account and generate an api key. since base explorer (basescan) is powered by Etherscan, the same api key works for verification.
→ step 2: open remix and set the api key for your deployment
go to remix.ethereum.org, sign in with your github account. then click the ⚙️ settings icon (bottom left) > connected services > turn on etherscan access token then paste your api key inside.
→ step 3: create the contract file
click create on the home page > new file, name it "SimpleStorage.sol", then paste the code below into the editor:

→ step 4: compile the contract
click solidity compiler on the side menu > click compile SimpleStorage.sol
→ step 5: deploy on base mainnet
click deploy & run transactions, environment → select injected provider (metamask/rabby). make sure your wallet is on base mainnet
in the constructor field, type "gm base", then click deploy and verify. it will auto-verify the contract on basescan.
→ step 6: claim your role
after successful deployment and verification, go to: guild.xyz/base and claim the deployer role.
what you just did? you deployed a simple contract that stores the message "gm base" fully onchain on base.

Each swap and LP addition must be a separate successful transaction made directly through the testnet app
Adding liquidity to a new pool counts, but removing liquidity doesn’t

→ Qubits: 10 Quanta per set, up to 100 Quanta
→ Quantum Pioneer: 13 Quanta per set, up to 130 Quanta
You can complete up to 10 sets, with progress usually updating 10-15 minutes after each transaction

Potential $BASE Airdrop Sybil Filter!
Base just launched something that could become a major sybil filter for a future Base airdrop.
It’s called "Base Verify Onchain".

Instead of only checking wallets, it tries to check the actual person behind them.
You verify through an account like Coinbase, X, Instagram or TikTok. Base then generates a private identity hash that stays the same even when you connect different wallets.
Projects don’t see your name, account or personal information. They only see the hash.
So using 100 wallets wouldn’t necessarily mean 100 claims anymore. If all those wallets are linked to the same verified identity, you would still count as one person.
If Base ever launches a $BASE token, I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes part of the airdrop sybil criteria.

1. start with a big market. finance, healthcare, real estate. then zoom into a sub-niche.
2. map the niche’s workflow end-to-end. literally write every step they do daily. ex: leads → scheduling → quoting → follow-ups → payments.
3. highlight where money changes hands. deposits, invoices, negotiations. those moments are where software captures value.
4. identify the repetitive mechanical tasks. anything someone does the same way every day is an automation opportunity.
5. quantify the pain. if a business owner spends 100 hours a year on something and their time is worth $300/hour, that’s a $30k problem.
6. manually perform the workflow yourself. most AI SaaS actually starts as a service. that’s why so many new YC companies begin with humans in the loop.
7. document every step. separate judgment tasks from mechanical tasks. agents handle the mechanical work.
8. turn those steps into agent workflows and connect them to real tools (email, slack, stripe, crm, APIs).
9. build media while you build the product. post daily about the workflow. use AI to research content ideas and scripts. the audience becomes your distribution.
