It was a huge honour to attend the parliament and court sitting as well as the Royal Tea Party yesterday. Dr Hughes introduced the King to staff, students and King's award winners. The King engaged warmly, showing a genuine interest in the boys' studies and aspirations. @VCJ_Head

Students held their first hustings today for Thursday's mock election. Candidates did a brilliant job delivering speeches to a huge audience in the Great Hall. The election teaches the importance of voting and understanding the process. Well done! @vcj_head @StatesAssembly

In 1871, on College Field Stephen Cox Newton threw a cricket ball 120 yards (109 metres) and this impressive feat has never been beaten. With thanks to Mr Wooldridge and the Sports Department for creating a real tradition and a lot of fun out of 'The Newton Toss'. @VCJ_Head

Fantastic to see the Fives court adjacent to the Officers' Quarters in use yesterday! An added bonus for visitors to #ElizabethCastle to see them playing the ancient game. The @VCJPE students are back today for a House tournament... #Fives #LoveYourCastle #OurIslandStory

The entrance of the passage grave at #LaHougueBie is perfectly aligned to the Sun for the #Spring and #Autumn equinoxes. This ancient site has inspired #Artists for centuries, including Major Norman Rybot, who painted this watercolour in 1929. #SpringEquinox #OurIslandStory xitter.cf/JerseyHeritage/status/…

If you missed Isaac, talking to the @BBCJersey at the weekend about his extremely altruistic plan to free fall 10,000 feet to raise money for the Victoria College Foundation, which provides financial support to students attending the College, here he is! youtu.be/vb7YF66BXtU

Happy World Book Day! Thanks to Casey in Y12 for putting together a great competition - The 'Masked Reader.' Students will be having a lot of fun with this today as they guess the identify of the teacher reading the story. Can you tell who the reader is? youtu.be/-7GKHd0WpOw

Meanwhile, Year 7 students have been spending their English lesson in the library today exploring the books and filling out a 'reading for pleasure' leaflet. They have enjoyed thinking and talking about what topics interest them and then choosing a new book. #worldbookday2024

Amazing talent on stage last night at Victoria College's Nativity. A brilliant comic take on the traditional nativity story. Well done to all students and teachers who took part - it looked like a lot of fun on that stage! A fantastic evening of entertainment! @VCJ_Head
