My sons health teacher (3rd grade) started online class today by saying, “let me pause at look at your beautiful faces without the masks. Each of you is so special. Everyone pose.” They all did. He loves her. #hooked #thatonekid #relationshipsfirst

Some thoughts on raising staff morale:
1. Trust staff to do their job... and give them the freedom to do it. Respect their professionalism.
2. Thank staff for doing their job; never take it for granted.
3. Listen to the concerns of staff... and act on them when you can.

Melissa, we have each student that requested a computer or hotspot one. It is important that all families request computers and/or hotspots if they need one. The school system has plenty of both to give to anyone that needs one. Each hotspot can connect 10 devices.

This cactus-like plant is 4.5 million times hotter than a jalapeño. But injecting it into an aching join won't hurt you. It can actually destroy the nerve endings that signal pain, meaning this could be a tool to help free us from opioids. trib.al/nhJVw4d

We all miss our usual summer activities: gathering with friends and family for barbecues, kids play-dates, group sports or other get-togethers.
This summer we can’t do those things.
This is what we have to do to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Some pre-historic creatures are crawling up on our shores! These "crabs", more closely related to spiders & scorpions, have existed long before dinosaurs. If you see one, don't panic; they're harmless. They visit every year (in May & June) to mate and lay eggs. #WildlifeWednesday

It’s World Health Day, and we owe a profound debt of gratitude to all our medical professionals. They’re still giving their all for us every day, at great risk to themselves, and we can’t thank them enough for their bravery and their service.
