Utah Property Owners: Keep an eye on your mailbox!
Official county property tax notices are being mailed out by county treasurers across Utah before November 1st.
IMPORTANT DEADLINE: County property taxes are due to your local county treasurer by November 30th.
Good to know: While the Utah State Tax Commission provides state oversight for property tax standards, your individual tax billings, exemptions, and payment processing are handled directly at the county level by your local County Treasurer and County Auditor.
💻 Learn more about state oversight at: propertytax.utah.gov, or contact your local county treasurer's office directly for billing and payment options.

Why risk a wait!?
Start planning! The Utah Motor Vehicle Division is excited to announce our new live wait time tracker. You can now check how long your estimated wait time is before you head over!
Follow these 3 easy steps:
Visit dmv.utah.gov.
Select "Estimated Office Wait Times."
Choose your location and see the results!
Tip: Want to save even more time? Check the live times and then Make an Appointment directly to jump ahead of the walk-in line entirely!
Falsifying your address to bypass emissions testing is a violation of state law.
Make sure your address is accurate when your register your vehicle.
Heads up! Due to a scheduled system upgrade, Tax Commission offices and call centers will close at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12. We will resume regular business hours on Monday, December 15.
A 6 minute wait time!? That's faster than it takes to get through the lunch line on pizza day! 🍕

A new phishing scam text message is circulating. The fraudulent text asks recipients to provide their banking account information to receive a supposed tax refund. The scam text message, which may appear to come from an official source, is a deceptive attempt to steal sensitive personal and financial data.
REMINDER:
The Utah State Tax Commission does not request banking information, Social Security numbers, or other personal data via text message.
Did you receive an unexpected text from @UtahStateTax? It's likely a scam. You can identify it as fake if the number is out of state or international. Learn more at files.tax.utah.gov/tax/09132…
On Monday, we had an inspiring day volunteering at The Other Side Thrift Boutique! We were honored to work alongside the dedicated students of The Other Side Academy, who do an amazing job running the store. Our team had a great time lending a hand and, more importantly, making meaningful connections.
A huge thank you to all our employees who signed up to volunteer and made this event a success. Seeing their commitment to serving our community is truly inspiring!
Breaking DMV News: On July 30th, customers with an appointment at the South Valley DMV waited an average of less than 3 minutes. That's a whole lot better than the walk-ins who waited for almost an hour!
Don't get caught in a long line! You can easily book your spot online to make sure your next trip to the DMV is a quick one.
