An audience member left me a gift anonymously at one of my shows this weekend, and I hope this message finds them.
Inside the box was an antiquity coin minted in Judea during the First Jewish Revolt against Rome, nearly 2,000 years ago.
Inscribed in ancient Paleo-Hebrew are the words “Harut Zion” — “The Freedom of Zion.”
[It came from Zak’s Antiquities in Jerusalem, a place familiar to anyone who grew up loving the Land of Israel and bringing small pieces of history back home.]
The Zealots deliberately used the script of their ancestors, dating back to the time of King David, to assert their claim to Jewish sovereignty in their own land.
Two thousand years later we keep those same words, that same struggle, and that same land.
One of the great privileges of being on tour has been knowing the people on the other side of the audience. No comment on Instagram could replace laughing with you in person.
To whoever gifted me this thoughtful piece of history, thank you.

This is bonkers.
BOMBSHELL:
Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton’s own mother urges voters not to vote for her daughter.
“My name is Donna Arthur and I’m Amy Acton’s mother. I worked at Children and Family Service Association, building one of the first two sexual abuse programs in America.
I love my daughter, but when I saw her lying about her opponent—and it’s not easy for a mother to say this—but Amy has a serious problem.
She is a liar. She lies about her past. She says she grew up living in a tent. None of that is true. She’s lied her entire life.
My daughter needs help, and she can’t help you if she needs help herself. People can change, but first they have to tell the truth, and my daughter still isn’t doing that.
Don’t vote for people who lie. Don’t let her become your governor. If you think she’ll make your life better, you’re fooling yourself. It will only get worse.”
That’s one hell of an October surprise.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Acton's mother lost custody of her children after years of documented issues, including time spent living in a tent and a spouse who sexually abused her daughter Amy (Acton). Amy Acton's brother has also confirmed this story.

By Leslie Stahl’s logic, it’s wrong to require air travelers in America to go through TSA screening because (1) very few air travelers carry out terrorist acts (indeed, “the numbers are tiny”), and (2) mandatory TSA screening tends to “sow distrust” in the safety of air travel.
“There are people who feel that the point is to sow distrust about the whole election system. There are very few people who are noncitizens who end up voting very few. Very few. And so therefore what's the purpose?” 60 Minutes asks Harmeet Dhillon, who heads the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.
“The point is actually the opposite of what you were saying. It's not to sow distrust. The distrust is there,” says Dhillon. “And so all of these kinds of crimes are being prosecuted now for the first time really in volume.”
State audits have shown that noncitizen voting is extremely rare, though it does happen. cbsn.ws/4z7X60k
Over at Powerline blog, John Hinderaker says: "A nation whose criminal justice system has been hijacked to perpetuate the power of one party cannot endure. That road leads to civil war and disunion. It is, sadly, the path that we are on."
I agree.

ON UCHICAGO CAMPUS: U.S. Senator from Michigan Elissa Slotkin hopes planned political prosecutions of republican leaders will scare young conservatives from getting involved in politics.

We need more of this. Classy!
Charlie Becker found Ryan Day right after the game to apologize for his O-H-F-U last year on stage at the Big Ten Championship.
“That was uncharacteristic of me. I’ve been thinking a lot about it and I’m sorry to you and Ohio State.” 👏👏

Colorado Medicaid won’t cover a vasectomy until 21. Silicone breast implants are not approved until 22. Female genital mutilation is illegal…
But in CO, we can cut off the healthy body parts of CHILDREN…
Make it make sense — OR just vote Yes on Prop 135 and make it *stop*🛑
Make It Make Sense
🚨 In Colorado, you can’t get silicone breast implants until 22.
Medicaid won’t cover a vasectomy until 21.
But a minor can undergo irreversible surgery to remove healthy breasts.
Make. It. Make. Sense.
Proposition 135, the Protect Kids from Irreversible Sex Change Surgery Act, is simple:
✅ No irreversible surgeries on the healthy body parts of minors 17 and under for the purpose of attempting to change their sex
✅ It doesn’t touch life-saving surgery
✅ It doesn’t touch circumcision or other unrelated procedures. The key word is PURPOSE
We set age limits for drinking, smoking, and voting. Permanent surgery on a child’s healthy body is where we draw the line?
Let them grow up first. 🛑

Oh for goodness sakes people. Have you never met guys in real life? They'll jaw it at each other for hours and then three hours later go have a beer. It's called normal. And get a grip.
You're acting like they're my gender who will hold a grudge long into eternity.

I bet you if porn was banned the "Cornell 7" and the girl would never have participated in an orgy.
Porn dehumanizes women, is linked to divorce, and creates overtly sex-driven men.
We must ban porn.

My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.
HERO!
Yaniv, the Israeli passenger who helped save the flight, gave Netanyahu his account of what happened inside the cockpit.
The cockpit door was jammed. The co-pilot was trying to destroy the aircraft's instruments. Yaniv put him in a chokehold and, with help from other Israeli passengers, dragged him out of the cockpit. Yaniv then rushed back to the controls.
"I pulled the controls up and stopped the plane's dive. Lucky I watched Air Crash Investigation."
