Running for office is hard and I’m grateful to everyone who is willing to run in any capacity. Utah is a special place and I admire the passion of every candidate and voter who works to make it better. Thank you to Representative King and Representative Lyman for your willingness to run. And please remember that our country is bigger and stronger than any one person. No matter what happens tonight, the United States will continue to be the greatest nation in the history of the world.
We agree. #RCV is a necessary addition to open primaries. It makes sure the winner has popular support.
This👇is an example of the problems associated with a Top 2 Open Primary system. Whether the primary is open or closed there is still the problem of vote splitting and a non-majority winner advancing to the Top 2 general election. #RankedChoiceVoting (RCV) solves this.
