Nerd Stuff: There's also a scoring system for a battle's geolocation accuracy in the atlas, cross-checked by AI. Each battle's unit placement gets an "accuracy score", based on what sources are available.
The highest-accuracy battles from each era/war are always free.

Battlespace Command Dev Log #3 is here, and the battlefields are massive.
Six maps built from real world terrain data, each 2,500km across. The Korea map alone stretches from Shanghai to Vladivostok. At that scale, AEW, electronic warfare and air to air refuelling get to play their real roles.
Hills and valleys block sensors, terrain changes cover and movement speed, and infantry can fight inside destructible buildings.
