TLDR: They give you fake models. If you ask for Grok 4.7, they serve you Grok 4 from months ago.
Most crypto users don’t know that 99% of these tokens use “proxy station” (Google it) as the backend. They do nothing unique and still reach tens of millions in valuation. That’s the only way they can offer models at an 80–90% discount.
