Okay so,
1) an American citizen exercises his First Amendment right to peaceably assemble and his Second Amendment right to bear arms, out of apparent concern that a tyrannical federal government is violating basic protections afforded under the Constitution
2) after coming to the aid of an unarmed woman who's been shoved to the ground by a masked federal agent, the citizen -- impaired by pepper spray, holding nothing but a cell phone -- is dragged to the ground by a group of other masked agents
3) during the scuffle, shortly after one masked agent removes the weapon from the restrained citizen's person, several other masked agents open fire, unloading 10 shots from close range and killing the unarmed citizen
4) despite video evidence, a spokesman for the federal government says the citizen approached agents with a gun, provoked a violent confrontation, and planned to "massacre" law enforcement
You really want to defend this? Go ahead. Just know, you look like an absolute fool.

As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today.
ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.

FYI, a masked, anonymous, armed paramilitary force denying due process and breaking into people’s homes to arrest and detain people in camps is exactly what fascism looks like.
BREAKING: Immigration officers are asserting sweeping power to enter homes without a judge’s warrant, a memo obtained by AP says. apnews.com/article/ice-arres…

If you've ever wondered why American politics have gone completely bananas over the last 10 years, here's why. Citizens United allowed the Epstein class to destroy our democracy.

Either Democrats nibble around the edges of change, or we throw ourselves into the fight.
Either we craft policies to ensure that the rich keep getting richer, or we build a party that unapologetically serves the needs of working people.
I'm fighting for working families.

Something strange happened on conservative Twitter on Thursday.
A dozen right-wing influencers suddenly became passionate about semiconductor export policy, posting nearly identical (and often false) attacks over a 27-hour period on a bill most people have never heard of.

The excessive force, incompetence, unnecessary violence, and genuinely authoritarian-looking actions of these masked ICE is not a blip. They are a pattern. Just in the last 10 minutes with a quick search of "ICE" on X it is stunning all the video evidence out there (thread):

I want to say the shooting in Minnesota is a Rorschach test but that doesn't do it justice. It's a reality test. If you believe the president's claims -- that this woman tried to kill ICE with her car and injured an agent -- you are in a different reality.

"The Romans occupied England in the 5th century, so anyone of Roman descent has a historical claim to the land."
It's one of the best sketches I've ever seen, it is so accurate and highlights the situation in Palestine.

She was a US citizen. ICE told her, “No one is going to help you. You're all criminals.”
Thrown to the pavement, arrested, bruised and hospitalized. She was just driving to work - in case you thought your choices could keep you safe.
U.S. citizen Dayanne Figueroa was simply doing what you probably do every weekday: driving to work. She’s a 31-year-old paralegal who was born and raised in the United States. When her lane cleared, she honked and moved forward. That’s when an unmarked SUV swerved into her car and ICE agents surrounded her, guns drawn.
They threw her to the pavement and handcuffed her. She was placed in a van between two terrified men. And when she begged the masked agents to identify themselves, telling them that she was a U.S. citizen, they simply said:
“No one is going to help you. You’re all criminals.”
She was held for four hours. Vulnerable after recently undergoing kidney surgery, she was hospitalized for the bruising and urinary tract infection after her detention. That was just the beginning of her misery.
DHS decided to smear her publicly. Spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin called her an “agitator” “arrested for assault on a federal agent” - even though she wasn’t attempting to interact with federal agents at all. She was just trying to get to work.
How many U.S. citizens and legal residents like Dayanne have been swept up, detained, assaulted and traumatized in this crackdown? We may never know, but we know enough to understand that this is wrong - and that Secretary Noem’s claim that no U.S. citizens were detained is an outright lie.
Dayanne says, “I love my country very much. And I also love my culture and my community. And I have to protect both.”
She shouldn’t have to choose. She shouldn’t have been brutalized. And she sure as hell shouldn’t have been slandered by her own government for telling the truth about it.

NEW | Instagram has removed the verified account of Gaza slain journalist Saleh al-Jafarawi, who had 4.5 million followers.
Archived snapshots of his page on the Wayback Machine, the largest public internet archive, also appear to have been wiped or disabled, raising concerns about digital erasure of Palestinian documentation.
Al-Jafarawi, known for his frontline reporting on the Gaza genocide, had previously faced repeated censorship. He was killed yesterday by an armed group collaborating with Israel.
Observers warn that these developments may signal “a new phase in efforts to erase evidence of Israeli war crimes from the internet.”
