At least 27 questions in this year’s Civil Services Examination (CSE) Prelims, across general studies and aptitude papers, have come under dispute, with candidates claiming that the answers in the UPSC provisional answer key are either incorrect, have no correct answer or allow more than one possible answer.

COVID-19 disrupted the preparation and crucial eligibility years of thousands of aspirants. The 112th Parliamentary Standing Committee had also recommended a compensatory attempt with corresponding age relaxation, but the issue still remains unresolved.
Candidates have also raised serious concerns regarding the CSE Prelims 2026 provisional answer key (27 disputed answers: 15 GS + 12 CSAT), CSAT syllabus fidelity, and transparency in the examination and evaluation process.
Their principal demand is a compensatory attempt(s) as a one-time relief measure, along with appropriate age relaxation, for all eligible COVID-affected aspirants.
The government’s insensitive and anti-youth attitude is responsible for their frustration.
@IYC stands firmly with their demand and warns the Government of India to take necessary measures. Otherwise, a student agitation will be launched in front of the UPSC, if necessary.

The reservation system in UPSC is being misused rampantly and the body isn't doing anything about it.
1. In the OBC reservation system, the income of parents should be under 8 lakhs, but the agricultural income is not counted in that. A large number of businessmen through their CAs show their income as farm income, so that their children can get the benefit of OBC reservation.
2. Moreover, the income of the candidate himself is not counted in OBC reservation threshold of 8 lakhs. What are the chances that parents transfer everything to their child to show their income below 8 lakhs?
3. Also, if your parents are in Group C or Group D services and earning more than 8 lakhs, then also you can get the benefit of OBC reservation.
4. Supreme Court has ruled that sub-categorization in SC/ST can now be done. Will the government create creamy and non creamy layers in both the categories to rationalize the concept of reservation?
5. Needless to point out how EWS and PWD reservation has been misused by the candidates in the recent years.

A LOKPAL to play the role of oversight mechanism over UPSC, SSC, NTA, IBPS etc. A very powerful reform to inquire, investigate and punish scams and decide on Compensation to be given to candidates like Re exam, age attempt relaxations etc.
I support
