Ran some Valorant + PUBG matches, tested the platform live, and honestly had a blast. Great energy, good feedback, and a solid way to stress test the experience with real players.

We started building UpArena.io with Gnosis Conditional Tokens, a mature foundation for on-chain prediction markets.
Then we modeled a 16-player esports bracket.
That’s where the tradeoffs became clear:
• FPMM becomes impractical with many outcomes
• LMSR requires upfront liquidity subsidies
Neither felt ideal for tournament-style markets.
So we stepped back and rethought the design...
We moved to a time-weighted parimutuel model.
Instead of AMMs or liquidity pools:
• users enter a shared prize pool
• winners share payouts based on their time-weighted positions
• no LP requirements, no slippage, no price impact
Most importantly, complexity stays constant whether a market has 2 outcomes or 32+.
The bigger unlock is infrastructure.
Many prediction markets still rely on off-chain logic for critical functions like resolution, settlement, and payouts.
At @UpArenaGaming, we’re designing for full on-chain execution:
→ every bet
→ every resolution
→ every payout
This approach was historically too expensive or too slow on EVM chains.
Now, chains like @monad make it practical to revisit those assumptions and build differently.
We’re currently benchmarking multiple approaches and will share results soon.
