This is not only a game I've worked on but it's one of those rare special journeys you embark with two good friends. Together we sail through stormy seas, destroy in order to rebuild, going back to the starting point a thousand times.Eventually It's here, it's called Magenta Down.

Next game from 2 Ton ❤️🕹️ #indiegame
We're super excited to announce our next game, Magenta Down. It's an atmospheric sci-fi adventure set on a harsh, remote exoplanet. Endure injury and radiation exposure with scarce supplies as you search for a way to save yourself and your crew. Coming in 2027. #indiegame

I think you can look at this a few ways. But having spent an insane amount of time studying the frame-by-frame movement of Mark of the Ninja, and then trying to replicate that in Unto taught me so much about animation, gamefeel, and ultimately just how freaking hard it is to match something of the high quality and execution. If you can come up with truly original stuff on your own, great, but studying the masters and then making it feel like your own is, I think, a very smart practice and something that many of todays masterpieces and masters do and have done :).
I was going to praise Silksong for having animations similar to Alucard's, but seeing them side by side, it's the same character controller lol (I love that, by the way)

If you're struggling to make progress on a game, the best advice I have is to just sit down and do something. Anything. The smallest thing you can think of. Sit down and start doing it. When I feel tired, frustrated or unmotivated I find that simply starting gets things rolling.

Super energizing to read a review like this -- means a lot to Sara and me, and to any indie dev, when you take the time to leave a review ❤️🕹️

@UntoGame s.team/a/600080 I beat it!😎 I liked the combat and the feeling of a tense, dangerous world around. What stands out is that you have the option not to get into conflicts with everyone but to walk away peacefully. I recommend 🔥 #IndieGameMonday #SteamGrailQuest

@UntoGame is such an underrated 💎 HIGHLY recommend @2TonStudios
Heya, I’m an indie dev and we made a sword fighting game about the struggle of an average warrior trying to get back home to their family.

This game is so good. I really recommend everyone trying it at least once.
Love this game and the devs are cool too, I think ;)

#indiedevhour I made a game where killing can be mastered or skipped entirely. After nearly three years I'm updating it again. It's defense-first; blocking rather than rolling. It doesn't hold your hand. Every opponent is a challenge.

Resisting "2D Dark Souls" wasn't easy. Really proud of what we did.
A nice one to wake up to… “A truly wonderful game. Don't make the mistake of thinking it's some kind of slash-em-up … Combat is incredible, probably the best I've experienced in a sidescroller.” steamcommunity.com/id/madyak… 🕹️❤️

youtu.be/BZUOvOxRbfs?si=csqp… A question? Where is this content in the game? Is it after one of the endings? 🤷🤷

Gareth highlights a lot of scenarios that Unity really needs to think about and be much clearer on...
Looking at the maths on the Unity changes really puts into stark contrast what the effect will be on platform deals—which in my experience are what keep indie studios running/sustainable. Some notes for non devs 🧵:
