This player-invented gun is a pea shooter that gets incredibly strong if you bank the bullet off a wall. #IndieDev #IndieGame

I just put out the 0.125 update with another new mod: Periodic! The Periodic mod periodically buffs and nerfs another part on your gun so you have to time your attacks to maximize effectiveness. You can try it out in the free demo on Steam. store.steampowered.com/app/4…

The 0.125 update is here and it introduces a new mod type: Spinup! The Spinup mod spins up faster the longer you fire, and the faster it spins the more it buffs the next mod. You can try it out in the free demo on Steam. steamcommunity.com/games/420…

A player invented this weak gun that gets super strong when you bounce the bullet off a wall. What guns have you always wanted to make? #IndieGame #Gamedesign

Question: Does this sequence do a good job of introducing how the gun inventing mechanic works? After seeing it a hundred times I have lost the ability to judge it objectively. #GameDev #IndieDev

I think it's an effective sequence overall. My only complaint is that the start is a little too fast. I start to grasp what's happening (player character shooting an enemy) right as the enemy dies, which is also when the text pops up. Too much to process that quickly.

Thanks for the feedback! This is exactly the kind of thing I go blind to after watching the clip over and over again.

If the mechanic is "You can slap things on the end of a generic gun that modify what it shoots and the effects of the aforementioned slapped on things combine", then yes, it did! If you were trying to convey something else, then I'm afraid not.

That’s exactly it. Nice!

Short, simple, to the point. Only thing that isn't as clear (and perhaps would clutter up the presentation) is how every part has a trade-off.

Yeah that's one thing I never knew how to convey in a gif without cluttering it up as you say.

Tried to make a GET OVER HERE gun using force mods but I think I made it a little too strong. RIP little walky robot guy :( #IndieGame

Seems pretty straight forward to me! Might be good to show a more complicated combination maybe

Cool! I’ll try a bigger gun next time I record. Thanks for the feedback!

This is a player-made gun that trades bullet damage for speed so you can just run into enemies to kill them. #IndieGames #Games

Combine Orbital Strike + Explosion + Explosion to get a gun that calls big booming bombs from space. #IndieGaming

Now time slows down while you add upgrades to your gun. #IndieGame #Gaming

More explosion testing. What do you think? Too much shrapnel or not enough? #IndieGame

Testing out new enemy explosions. They are CHUNKY now. Unity console also reports no errors on them, which is nice. #IndieDev

Thanks! It was really fun to make.
In Stack Gun Heroes there is no melee button. You simply smash through enemies with your face. #IndieDev #IndieGame

Gotta get to em fast enough before they shoot you then? hahaha

Here's a player invented gun that shoots columns of fire. Chat invented it by telling me what to stack while I was streaming. It turned out pretty good! #Gaming #IndieDev

I've been spending good time with @Unstackd's Stack Gun Heroes, and while it can take some experimenting to create the right weapon for the job it's wonderfully pyrotechnically destructive when it all pulls together. hardcoregamer.com/previews/b…

There's an open demo on the Steam store right now! It won't be up forever so get it while you can: store.steampowered.com/app/4… There are also beta lotto signups on the discord if you haven't done that already: discord.gg/dn7uSHx
