Your body, your craft, your word, the people who love you, the neighborhood you live in, the country that still pretends to be yours. If you can influence it, you own a piece of the outcome. Running from that weight is the original sin of every fashionable ideology that currently poisons the air. Nature is not a social construct. Nature just is as it is. Sexual dimorphism is not a conspiracy. Beauty is not oppression. A woman drawn reserved, demure, connected to the earth, and yes, desirable, is not a political pamphlet. She is an observation. The people who scream that such a picture is “misogyny” have already declared war on reality itself. When your politics require you to treat honest depiction of the world as an act of violence, your politics have set themselves against everything True, Beautiful, and Good. Beware the man who says “all art is political.” He is confessing that he cannot bear Nature. Art is the record of what we notice and what we refuse to lie about. A master with a new tool still makes something masterful. An amateur with a magic brush still makes amateur slop. The tool is innocent. The taste, the discipline, the understanding of form, light, story, and consequence—that is where the soul lives. Judge the work. Do not let cowards hide behind the brush. We have become a civilization of pussies who will not enforce anything, will not hold a line, and will not admit that some people cannot be reasoned with. Duty weighs heavy, so they invent philosophies that let them drop it. They will destroy families, mutilate themselves, and flood the commons with ugliness rather than accept the burden of being better than they currently are. That is not liberation. That is spite dressed up as compassion. I am not exempt. I am fat. I know it. I am working on it because I owe a better version of myself to the people who still give a damn about me and to the man I intend to become. Responsibility does not wait for perfect conditions. It starts today, with whatever you can actually control. Stand up. Speak clearly. Make something beautiful. Serve something larger than your feelings. Nature does not care about your narrative.
