When I got home I stopped to say hello to the bees and I discovered that they had left.
This is very disheartening.

This is worth infinitely more than those silly $5,000 dividend promises.
Let those under 40 opt out of paying Social Security tax and just let us fund this instead.
Told a spam call today that if they call me again I will say something that will get us both a visit from the FBI

50 km Bluetooth? An RF engineer is trying to make it happen.
RFOXiA is pushing Bluetooth Low Energy far beyond its usual range using an STM32WB07, an RF power amplifier, a low-noise amplifier and a high-gain antenna.
The trick is Bluetooth LE Coded PHY (S=8), which trades speed for better range and signal robustness, delivering 125 kbps.
They have demonstrated a 4.6 km ground-to-ground link. Their 20+ km ground-to-air and 50+ km air-to-air targets are still goals, not proven results.
Think long-range sensor networks, robotics, and remote control without cellular infrastructure.

Would you try pushing Bluetooth this far in your next embedded project?
Replying to @Alacritic_Super @Joshua_Bird
A 300 Hz control loop on one motor is wild. For telemetry off builds like this, BLE Coded PHY goes further than most expect: 4.6 km measured ground to ground, and more expected once one end is in the air. eejournal.com/article/50-km-…

This got memoryholed so deep most people don’t even know it happened
In 2017, an Islamist terrorist entered Manchester Arena, where Ariana Grande was performing, and blew himself up. He killed 22 humans and himself. ISIS took responsibility and praised the act.
This attack was widely condemned. People were shocked.
But why? ISIS claimed that their attacks were a response to Western imperialist ambitions and oppression.
Hamas, which also believes in killing dissenters and establishing an Islamic State, killed 360 civilians at the Nova Music Festival and used similar excuses. People around the world are justifying and excusing it. Shouldn't the same people also justify and excuse ISIS attacks?

I worked at a place that was vehemently opposed to remote work.
They told us, point blank "if you are not here in the office, we have no way of knowing if you're actively working and it is impossible to do the work you do without being here in the office."
To which was responded by someone who was a contractor & not really concerned about his job there (no names mentioned), "So... we're dropping offshore?"
[Visibly confused looks]
"Offshore is not in the office. We have no idea if they're doing their work."
[Panicked looks]: "That's.... uh... different?"

And y'all are talking about staying home in November. We've never been so back.
Should have kept the textbooks updated for the students.
BREAKING:
French police have encountered rioters and looters armed with AK47s and Scorpion submachine guns on the streets of Paris, Marseille and Lyon.
The information comes from the Le Journal du Dimanche journalist Laura Tchekov, who says that her newspaper has received this information from sources within the DGSI, France’s main internal security agency.
The weapons were carried by minors and young adults described as being part of organized crime groups but sometimes also close to the Islamist movement in France.
The journalist says that not all armed
rioters were arrested and that several of them remain on free foot.
It’s believed that police officers refrained from making arrests as they thought they could be both outmanned and outgunned at the moment and that hundreds of people were on the streets, creating a risk of a shoot-out that could have resulted in a large number of wounded and dead.

"I'm voting purely based on my Indian identity. Also I'm exactly as American as someone whose family traces back to the Mayflower"
I just cast my ballot for James Talarico.
As a second-generation Indian American, I am thoroughly disgusted by the xenophobia, racial resentment, and increasingly brazen attacks on my identity. My family has contributed to the American story through hard work, sacrifice, and an unwavering belief in the opportunities this nation promises. I am every bit as American as anyone else, and I will not tolerate being treated as a perpetual foreigner in the country I call home.
I implore every eligible Texan to get out and vote. This election is about the kind of state and country we are prepared to defend—and the principles we refuse to surrender.
