The BIG Games (@prest4n) drama has gotten out of hand, and we'd like to present our perspective on the matter. Regarding the leakers, it's crucial to note that they were explicitly instructed not to disclose assets from BIG Games' secret club membership on their Discord server. This incident triggered the entire controversy. It's worth mentioning that these leakers have a history of sharing memes and making fun of BIG Games, so characterizing the DMCA takedown as a sudden action after years of respect is inaccurate. In the US, DMCA takedowns on games are governed by the principle that if an item is trademarked or patented, anything that resembles a substantial portion of the original can be considered as copying. We may not have a complete understanding of the entire situation, but it's important to stress that the DMCA takedowns are not unwarranted. Some developers are voicing their complaints because they may have assumed they could exploit BIG Games' intellectual property without consequences. They can always dispute the claim. Regarding the plushies, when the former plushie manufacturer released that YouTube video, it was apparent that it was primarily a marketing move. They hinted at an ongoing investigation and potential lawsuits, which would have been compromised had they chosen to publicly disclose everything. Preston has provided evidence that he settled the invoices in full. The company posted the YouTube video after Preston decided to terminate their collaboration, suggesting that their intention may be to extort BIG Games. There are two sides to every store, and it's important to understand that many people might not grasp the intricacies of the legal system. Could Preston have handled the situation with more tact? Perhaps. However, were his actions unjustified? No. It's also worth noting that this is the entirety of Twitter vs Preston... He can't address everything. Before jumping to conclusions or spreading negativity, it's crucial to acquaint yourself with the facts and nuances of the situation. - @ItsJustRixin
