Are you a communist? Don't you want a upotia?
Randomly asked my guy friend if he was a feminist. He said no. Asked him if he believed women deserved equal rights. He said yes immediately. The disconnect is genuinely fascinating

Indian leftwing is so abysmally incompetent.
As of now the only successful Right wing party that has been able to crush it's opponents like communists and jihadists is Indian right wing. I criticize them for a lot of things but they know how to fight their battle and achieve atleast some of their goals.

The fastest way to reduce anxiety in a relationship is to stop using over-explaining as a way to manage the other person’s emotions.

Peter Thiel's critique of European tech is sharper than most people quote it: "In the social democratic European societies, it's acceptable to be moderately successful. It's not acceptable to be wildly successful." That's not a cultural observation. It's a structural diagnosis. Look at the pattern: Skype sold to Microsoft. Spotify relocated to New York and listed in the US. DeepMind sold to Google before it could compound. Klarna β€” one of Europe's most valuable fintechs β€” spent years being investigated and regulated the moment it hit scale. The moment a European startup gets big enough to matter, the social contract shifts. Regulators, press, and public sentiment move from neutral to hostile. So founders learn to exit early β€” not because they lack ambition, but because the system taxes it. Europe produces world-class talent and early-stage innovation. It just doesn't retain the compounding. The constraint isn't capital. It's the ceiling culture places on acceptable ambition β€” and founders respond rationally to the incentives they're actually given.

Lefties have good intention of saving the world but cannot effectively make stuff happen in the world. The first thing to do when getting in a car is to put your seat-belt; then worry about the passengers and those outside, in that order.

This is not myopic self-interest, but the functional one. And not just action but understanding the world works is equally as important as action - still the leftist mass is a huge failure.

True. But at some point, you need to bank a win; not a small one, but a considerable one if not big. Willpower can only get you so far even if you do everything right. No amount of mental gymnastics, memes or pump music can replace the feel of a banking a solid W.
never fucking quit. life flips fucking fast.

Btw life flipping fast is so equally true. It really does not matter what bottomless pit you find yourself in. It is a matter of luck. Keep taking more tickets.

Right is totally right here.
"Être de gauche c'est d'abord penser le monde, puis son pays, puis ses proches, puis soi. Etre de droite c'est l'inverse."

Now that I am used to it, I would prefer to continue. I hated this at initially.
Google losing 500 billion dollars in value because of their own decision to force AI summaries down our throats when their revenue model is based on search engine ads would be funny if it weren't also evidence of how shockingly dumb the people currently running the global economy are.

The world has changed so much that China is the success story for capitalism and West is the poster child for socialism If you think about capitalism and its qualities - profit motivated, fierce competition, wage labour etc everyone knows Chinese fit this bill If you think about socialism and its qualities - focus on the collective and social welfare you are talking about the West In a free market the government doesnt save bad business - China let the property sector crash - in the west US bailed out the banks and the property sector Western people tout Capitalism only to support socialist values and vice versa Chinese will speak about the collective and be the most competitive and self reliant Its hardly ever talked about or acknowledged and we are living in a made up mental dichotomy thats completely inverted

My wife teaches undergrad in a prestigious university Every single student is bombarded with ads, events, and direct outreach from international universities for post-grad degrees Half of my wife’s day at the end of every academic year is spent counselling students to NOT opt for these degree mills The marketing is intense and there is now a ginormous ecosystem to funnel kids into these programs You will, of course, blame gullible 20 year olds instead of blaming your capitalists
Why are Indians now one of the largest immigrant groups in ~every western country but not 20 years ago? There were a lot of Indians back then too

The not sustainability part is due to socialism as a whole. Unchecked immigration is just one of the far left bs. America can elect a new govt and they would do whatever they can to curb the effects of it. Europe is just sold on it that even their far right govt is a joke.
Yea my point is, the day to day real life is a brown indian interacting with the local population , NOT the govt. The govt want them here. The local population DO NOT. This is the friction, and this is not sustainable
