The culture of every player expecting crazy money needs to stop. I’m not against sponsorships, financial backing or rewarding players. I’ve invested heavily into this scene myself. But there has to be a limit, and there has to be some perspective. Too many players now expect €400–€500 simply because «somebody» else is willing to pay it. In many cases, there’s no loyalty, no appreciation and barely any respect shown towards the people actually putting their own money on the line. Some will take your money, leave at the first opportunity and treat the people who backed them like they meant nothing. That culture is disgraceful. And the reality is that the vast majority of players demanding these amounts simply do not justify them. Being a good Clubs player does not automatically make you worth hundreds/thousands of euros. Put some of these people in the position of an owner, GM or sponsor. Make them personally fund an entire squad while every player demands €400–€500. They wouldn’t last two minutes. It’s very easy to demand money when you’re spending somebody else’s. I’ll continue speaking against this culture and pushing for a more sustainable approach. Sponsors and investment absolutely have a place in Clubs. Treating them like unlimited wallets does not.
