The 24th best team in MLS last season just spent $12 million today on last year’s Belgian league golden boot winner and it’s barely made a blip.
It’s a positive in that this is just normal territory for MLS but it’s annoying because it shows the level of players MLS clubs could recruit if they were allowed to spread that money out over their entire roster.
