Today I learned that most data centers forced on communities have clauses hidden in their contracts that essentially say if water levels hit draught territory, it is the responsibility of the municipality to turn off water for the community and keep the data center running because they “have a contract” and homeowners “do not”. This is the billionaire class: Save our data centers, die of thirst. They’re literally trying to kill us in the fine print of their greed, hoping we won’t notice.

Just had the creepiest scam ever happen 20 minutes ago. I got a call from my wife telling me she forgot her wallet and needed the credit card to pay for her gas. Except my wife was at home with me, and drives a Tesla. Same voice, bit... off, weird cadence but 100% sounded just like her. If she wasn't there, and it wasn't about gas I would have fallen for it. I entertained it for awhile to get more out of it, I was so confused. Must be some sort of voice deepfake. The responses were too fast for ai, I think it was a voice filter. I wish I had thought to record it. The future is about to get fucked. Warn your loved ones, do verbal passwords with your kids. Bit taken aback

Flock Camera Installer SWATS Atlanta News First Investigative Journalist ----- As it turns out, Flock Camera Installers don't like to be watched. In this video, a Flock camera installer calls the police because a news journalist is documenting him installing cameras. I say the Flock camera installer SWATed the journalist because of what the installer says at 1:54 in the video. "I work with Flock Safety. And I'm getting followed. Harassed, pretty much. Taking videos and pictures. I'll just put out my first name because I don't want them to hear my full name on the 911 call when they get it." When they get the 911 call? How many people do you know who are illegally harassing and threatening violence to someone, will then later seek out the 911 call of the incident via a FOIA request, and publish that call to the internet? None. But that is exactly what an investigative journalist would do. The installer KNEW that this man was a journalist and was acting within his rights and responsibilities. Yet, he called the police on him anyway, claiming the journalist was illegally harassing him and causing him to fear for his safety, so that the police would come and harass the journalist and risk a possible physical altercation, even though the journalist was doing nothing wrong.
