Blizzard hid a Legend of Zelda quest chain in vanilla WoW, and no quest ever sent you there.
You found a wrecked raft by a pond in Un'Goro. At the bottom of the pond was a pack with a map, a compass and a key.
The raft belonged to a gnome in a green hood who had lost his memory. He thought he was "named after someone important."
The first quest was "It's a Secret to Everybody."
The last one was "It's Dangerous to Go Alone."
The reward was a boomerang.
His name is Linken.
WoW Forever quietly changed one line about the Timbermaw. That one line gives away a whole new furbolg city.
Since vanilla, their reputation called them "the last uncorrupted furbolg tribe." In Forever it says "one of the last uncorrupted furbolg tribes."
Look at Azshara. Behind the old furbolg gate, Forever added a new dungeon, Blackmaw Hold. Blizzard calls it "a great furbolg city," where the Blackmaw clan is "struggling against a corruption."
That gate stayed shut for all of vanilla. Forever is finally opening it, and honestly, I'm hyped to see what else they've been cooking.
In Blackwing Lair, the way to survive Nefarian's breath was to wear his sister.
His Shadow Flame set you on fire until you died. The one cloak that let you live through it was made from Onyxia's scales.
Her scales could only be skinned off her corpse.
It took a black dragon's scales to hold back a black dragon's flame.
Forty people walked into Nefarian's lair wearing his sister.
In WoW Forever, Cairne Bloodhoof is alive again. So is the tauren who got him killed, and she lives in his city.
Her name is Magatha Grimtotem, and she leads the Grimtotem, a tauren tribe that never joined the Horde. Horde players fight them in Thousand Needles, where their chieftain Arnak is wanted for murder and kidnapping.
Magatha herself lives up on Elder Rise in Thunder Bluff, and her own quest calls her "one of the proponents of the alliance between the tauren and the Forsaken."
If you picked up the Ragefire Chasm quests in Thunder Bluff, you were running errands for her. The tauren who hands them out is Rahauro, and his title is "Magatha's Servant."
Cairne lets her stay. For now.
The men outside Balnazzar’s chamber had died defending a paladin.
When their killers came through the door, he still had Saidan Dathrohan’s face.
It had served him well in Stratholme. The Scarlet Crusaders would put a stranger to the sword on suspicion of carrying the plague, and they’d let a demon command them because he looked like their Grand Crusader.
Balnazzar fought as Dathrohan until, in the middle of the battle, he shed his disguise. The people who’d come to kill a paladin had to finish the fight with a dreadlord spreading his wings in a room built for men.
At Light’s Hope Chapel, the duke asked what they had brought him.
They handed him a demon’s head and told him it belonged to the Grand Crusader.
They gave you a quest to save a princess...
