In August 1987, Guns Nโ Roses arrived in Winnipeg, Canada, as the opening act for The Cult, still a virtually unknown band outside the club circuit.
Before the concert, Axl Rose and Slash stopped by the Blue Note Cafรฉ, where they ended up taking the stage to play โHeartbreak Hotelโ together. That visit captured the band in one of its earliest moments.
The photograph, published by the Winnipeg Free Press, shows Axl with a young woman during that visit. Just a few months later, Appetite for Destruction would begin to transform Guns Nโ Roses into one of the most important rock bands of the late 1980s. This image, therefore, belongs to the era when they could still appear almost anonymously at a local bar.

If a company did this nationwide:
- 500 of these kiosks would save about $100โ150 million a year in gross labor avoided
- 1,000 of these kiosks would save about $200โ300 million a year gross
You wanted to get paid a professional wage for working fast food and now the result is you wonโt even have a job

Sass Jordan has died.
Born in 1962 in England, she grew up in Montreal. Jordan had several hit songs in Canada including Rescue Me and Tell Somebody. A Juno Award winner, she also served as the honorary colonel of 417 Combat Support Squadron.

Golden Retriever brings his toy to a home intruder after the man broke into the home in San Diego, CA.
The 'watch' dog, Nash, watched the home intruder make himself at home and even tried to get the man to play with him.
The dog's owner, who wasn't home, says he watched the entire scene unfold on his phone.
"Nash is not the greatest guard dog. We thought he was going to be barking at people, and he did the exact opposite."
