El Real Madrid titula: «La prensa internacional, indignada con las palabras de Tebas, pide su dimisión». Vamos a leer lo que ha publicado. Sus propios recortes. Reuters informa de que EL REAL MADRID exige mi dimisión. The Guardian también. La Gazzetta atribuye esa exigencia a «los blancos». ¿Quién pide la dimisión en esas noticias? El Real Madrid. ¿Quién cuenta que la pide? Los medios. La diferencia es bastante elemental. Sí, Thomas Böker pide mi dimisión en un comentario de opinión publicado en Kicker. Y otros medios critican mi comparación. Esas críticas existen. Pero no convierten cada noticia sobre el comunicado del Real Madrid en una adhesión a su exigencia. Y el caso de GOAL resulta especialmente revelador. El club reproduce la crítica a mi comparación, pero deja fuera el final del mismo artículo: el periodista también considera justificadas críticas a determinadas líneas editoriales de Real Madrid TV y califica de «vergonzoso» su trato a Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea. La crítica a Tebas entra en la recopilación. La crítica a RMTV, publicada por el mismo autor en la misma pieza, desaparece. Un ejemplo concreto de esa selección interesada. La operación consiste en presentar la repercusión de una petición propia como si fuera una reclamación colectiva de la prensa internacional. Los medios publican que el Real Madrid pide mi dimisión y el club lo presenta como prueba de que la piden ellos. Un circuito perfecto… hasta que alguien lee. Además, varios de esos artículos recogen mi aclaración expresa: la comparación se refiere a técnicas de propaganda, excluyendo la ideología y la afición madridista. Ese contexto también forma parte de lo publicado, aunque desaparezca de la selección del club. Así se construye el relato: se selecciona lo que interesa, se omite lo que incomoda y se amplifica una conclusión que el conjunto de las informaciones citadas no sostiene. Precisamente lo que vengo denunciando. La repercusión no es adhesión. Informar de la petición del Real Madrid no equivale a respaldarla. Y acumular cabeceras no permite cambiar quién dice qué.
