ALT Magic card from the Duality Distorted drop 'Thoughtseize' over a shattered-glass effect, with the classic card 'Brainstorm' cracked and visible behind it. Both cards were illustrated by DiTerlizzi, who modeled the original 'Brainstorm' after his wife and this reimagined 'Thoughtseize' after his daughter. The illustration shows a woman with long hair and a raven skull headdress, touching her temples, surrounded by glowing orbs.

ALT Magic card from the Duality Distorted drop 'Pyroblast' over a shattered-glass effect, with the classic card 'Counterspell' cracked and visible behind it. Both cards were illustrated by Mark Poole, who reimagined the same wizard now casting the spell instead of having it countered. The illustration shows a bearded man in robes raising his hand, with fire and a glowing ring of energy behind him.

ALT Magic card 'Desperate Ritual' from the Duality Distorted drop over a shattered-glass effect, with the classic card 'Dark Ritual' cracked and visible behind it. Both cards were illustrated by Sandra Everingham, who brought back the same hooded mage from the original. The illustration shows the faceless, hooded figure reaching forward within a fiery, lightning-wreathed archway, with open books floating beside them.

ALT Magic card from the Duality Distorted drop 'Tribute to the World Tree' over a shattered-glass effect, with the classic card 'Presence of the Master' cracked and visible behind it. Both cards were illustrated by Phil Foglio, who reimagined the original composition. The illustration shows a figure with long hair in a stained-glass-style circular frame, with sun, moon, and floral motifs around the border.
