He is the HOME MINISTER of this country, visiting a state where 19 people just died because of government mismanagement, and he is being welcomed with dhol and dance.
People dying are just stats for them. Nothing more.
What a shameless man..!!

In a functional democracy, the Opposition seeks to replace the regime through institutional mechanisms such as free and fair elections, a free media, and the mobilisation of public opinion.
The BJP wants to capture institutions and remain in power forever, as its leaders have declared several times.
This is a regime that seeks to defy public opinion and stay in power forever. The people of India will remove this regime from power.
The violation of democracy lies not in seeking a change of regime, but in the intent of a regime to stay in power forever by hook or by crook.

For all practical purposes, Art. 19 rights in New Delhi have been suspended. Citizens can’t move freely, can’t protest peacefully, can’t raise slogans all because some arbitrary orders- which nobody has seen-are in place. Courts sit in silence, the hearings have yielded nothing.

Latest weapon in Dilli police’s arsenal: short term disappearances in the guise of detentions.
Nobody knows where @neha_aisa is. Nobody knows where @abhijeet_dipke is. It’s as if Delhi is operating in a supra-legal zone right now. There are no rights. At the mercy of the state.

How dead the society will be so we understand that it's dead?
How dead a democracy will be before we accept it's dead?
The BJP and Shah's police dragged away and detained the grieving parents of Ankita Bhandari at 4:00 AM like common criminals from India Gate alongside my colleagues and leaders just because a mother and father dared to peacefully cry out for justice for their murdered child.
Ankita was only 19 years old when her life was ruthlessly snatched away. No parent on earth can ever fathom the unbearable, crushing agony her mother and father carry every single second.
And instead of answering them or holding anyone accountable, the BJP government promoted Dushyant Kumar Gautam as the Governor of Sikkim, giving him a big constitutional shield while a broken family is hunted down in the dark.
Where has this ruthless BJP regime dragged my country... what have they done to our nation?
But the BJP ‘leaders’, remember this well, the daughters of India are watching everything, and they will never, ever forgive you for this.
SHAME ON YOU.

I was in Uttarakhand when the Ankita Bhandari case was making headlines. Ankita was a young, bright girl. She was a topper. Due to lack of resources she had to take up the job of a receptionist at a resort owned by a politician’s son who allegedly tried to force her into prostitution. "I may be poor, but I won't sell myself for ₹10,000 to your resort,” she said. Ankita had to pay the price for this defiance with her life.

Waving the Tricolour at Jantar Mantar in a peaceful protest is not a crime. Jailing youth for it is an act of cowardice.
Students. Youth. Journalists. The INDIA bloc. Different banners, one cause. All protests are one: citizens demanding their constitutional rights.
Jantar Mantar belongs to the people of India. We will reclaim it.
