🚨 TEXAS: IS ANYONE WATCHING WHAT IS HAPPENING IN MANSFIELD? “AUTHORITY IN THIS LAND” - MOSQUE EYES ENTIRE SCHOOL CAMPUS AS PREACHER URGES MUSLIMS TO “CHANGE THE SYSTEM” AND “CHANGE THE LAWS” Unity Islamic Center is expanding, and Texans need to pay attention not only to what it is buying, but to what is being preached inside the mosque. Unity already operates a mosque in Mansfield, with Qur’anic school, Sunday school, after-school programs and youth programs. The center says it has “grown tremendously” and describes its mission as building the “future generations of American Muslims.” Now, according to Unity's own video, it is seeking to buy Walnut Creek Academy — an existing school campus. “We're gonna try to purchase, inshallah, the school, the Walnut Creek Academy…” Then, standing at the property: “All right, here we are on a new property. Let's check it out.” This is not simply a mosque adding more prayer space. It is an expanding institution seeking an actual school campus while already running extensive Islamic youth and educational programs. And that makes what is being preached inside Unity impossible to ignore. In a lecture at Unity Islamic Center, a speaker reportedly prays: “We ask Allah to give us authority in this land. Say, Amin.” He then moves from personally accepting what is halal and rejecting what is haram to applying those principles at the societal level: “How do we do it for a society?” His answer is to use America's democratic political system: “We in America, we live in a democracy, there's a system which we can use.” Then: “We have a mechanism by which we can even change the system.” And: “Act within the democratic policy and state that we live in, the democracy that we live in, to change the laws.” In other words, the speaker explicitly discusses using the mechanisms of American democracy to gain political influence and change the laws according to what he presents as an Islamic obligation. Then he invokes Quran 8:60, the martial verse commanding believers to prepare whatever strength they can against their enemies, before declaring: “This is our job as Muslims in America. Point blank. Period.” Now put that next to the expansion. Unity says it wants to build the “future generations of American Muslims.” It already operates Islamic youth and educational programs. Now it is seeking to acquire an entire school campus. Mansfield parents and Texas officials should be asking exactly what will be taught there. Who will run the school? What curriculum will children receive? Which clerics will teach them? What will they be taught about Islamic law versus American constitutional law? And does Unity's leadership endorse the message being delivered from its own platform about obtaining “authority in this land,” changing “the system,” and changing America's laws? This isn't about guessing what someone secretly believes. The expansion is public. The school acquisition is being announced by Unity itself. The lecture should be judged by the speaker's own words. Texas should be paying very close attention to what is being built in Mansfield - and what is being taught alongside it.
