What a great day at @nfa1920
On Monday, NFA fourth grade students had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a workshop on team-building and conflict resolution with Will Dennis, owner of @UnScriptedProd.
A big #yesand to this unique prayer experience from our owner, @williamjdennis
Every Friday in class I lead my students in an #Examen. It is an #ignatian #meditation #prayer that engages the #imagination while reflecting back on the moments of our week that we’re filled with consolation and desolation.
#yesand to all of this
Merely the use of the contraction “let us” sets #2 apart. I think most of us strive to be Leader #2 but the pressures and urgency of work and demands has us defaulting to Leader #1. #authenticleadership takes time and most of us have too few of it.

#yesand In improv this is part of an idea called “state your truth.” - used as an escape when performers feel stuck. Even if that truth is “I have no idea what’s going on.” It opens every door of possibility moving forward. Thx for your insights- looking 4wd to Think Again

Saying "I don't know" doesn't reveal ignorance or insecurity. It reflects confident humility.
Insecurity drives us to pretend we have the answers. Confident humility gives us the courage to ask questions.
You can't learn if you can't admit you have something to learn.
If feels more often than not that we don’t actually teach improv, we teach possibility. This article is right up our alley! newyorker.com/magazine/2021/…
