AAPL PT is now a thing on Spectra @base
The first Principal and Yield Tokens for Coinbase Tokenized Stocks trade on the protocol: AAPLc, NVDAc, METAc, GOOGLc.
This opens up an entire segment of use cases:
→ Predictable position denominated in e.g NVDAc
→ Amplified exposure to the floating rate of strategies denominated in stocks
→ Supplying liquidity and collecting stock fees
What this makes buildable:
→ PT-STOCKc as collateral, and the looping setups that follow from it
→ Vault operators sourcing PTs for "earn on stocks" programs
→ Discounted NVDAc or GOOGLc as an onboarding hook (DEX/CEX/neobank)
→ ETF-like vehicles composed of fixed-term tokenized stock derivatives
On the Spectra side: limit orders on stock-denominated yield, and MetaVaults reaching these pools directly, which gives curators an entirely new TVL acquisition path.

Order books are about to change how markets get built on Spectra.
First: bootstrapping fixed-term markets no longer depends on the prevailing AMM curve. Resting orders can sit on both sides of the book at rates a market maker is comfortable with.
Those resting orders can be placed in a yield-bearing asset, so the asset stays productive while it waits to be filled.
Second: the order book arrives on Stellar first, with USDC and EURC markets initially planned to open.
EURC supply rates on Stellar have held above 5% through this year, and USDC rates sit above what comparable EVM markets have offered.
Stellar sees rapid DeFi growth (from $9M to $215M in 2 years) on its own with users and liquidity that has stayed largely within the network. That makes this the right moment to connect those opportunities with EVM.
Curators will be able to reach Stellar yield via a MetaVault deployment on EVM, with built-in order book access. For users wanting direct access to Spectra's opportunities there, we'll share useful information on how to get started.
