Coaches: The day before the race, give your athletes 2-3 clear instructions. Athletes: Know those instructions well enough to say them back. If you aren't sure what the plan is, ask today. After the race, do a debrief together. Plan your race. Race your plan.

One of my favorite things is getting locked out of an account for using the wrong password, having to reset the password, resetting it to what you thought your password was, then being told you can't use it because it was your previous password.
