Meet MAGAt Robert Christie Wray. He is a prominent Republican political operative and campaign strategist associated with the GOP consulting firm Red America. On November 16, 2020, his political career was upended when law enforcement arrested and booked him into a South Carolina detention facility. He was hit with a severe felony charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. The official arrest warrants detail a brutal sequence of events. On November 11, 2020, Wray allegedly targeted an unnamed female victim inside his Mount Pleasant residence. Reports indicate he served the victim wine that left her heavily and unexpectedly incapacitated, completely bypassing her explicit refusals before executing the assault. Due to the severe nature of the allegations involving forced confinement or chemical incapacitation, a Charleston County magistrate strictly denied him bond on November 17, 2020. Further investigations into his conduct revealed a documented history of predatory tendencies preceding his arrest. Local political circles reported that he had previously been forcibly escorted out of a Charleston Meeting event at the Harbor Club due to his erratic, aggressive behavior toward a female attendee. Prior to November 2020, law enforcement had already fielded complaints regarding Wray stalking multiple women, including a local church contact and a high-profile Lowcountry elected official. Wray faced up to 30 years in state prison for the first-degree sexual assault charge. Following his initial bond hearing, the case moved through the Charleston County Court of General Sessions. Legal dockets show he remained detained in jail while his defense attorneys continuously filed active trial protection extensions lasting through October and November 2026.
