As an administration committed to practical solutions and student-centred service, we recognise the importance of an efficient transportation system to the daily academic and social activities of Unilorites. We, therefore, encourage Unilorites who are passionate about service, teamwork, and making a meaningful difference to seize this opportunity to contribute to a better transportation system for all. The event provided a platform for participants to showcase their ideas and explore opportunities to transform innovation into sustainable ventures. We were impressed by the quality of presentations, the creativity demonstrated, and the commitment of the participants. We sincerely appreciate the U-INSPIRE Implementation Committee for providing this valuable platform to nurture entrepreneurial talents and encourage students to develop innovative solutions that can contribute to economic growth and societal development. Special appreciation goes to our colleagues who demonstrated the courage to participate and present their ideas. We commend your efforts and willingness to explore new possibilities. MODEL AND EFFICIENT UNILORITES, Earlier today, we paid a courtesy visit to the Corporate Affairs Unit to strengthen institutional relationships and explore opportunities to improve communication and representation for Unilorites. During the meeting, we engaged with Mr. Ganiu Kunle Ibrahim, General Manager of the Corporate Affairs Unit, alongside Mr. Mustafa Abubakar, Assistant to the General Manager. The Director, Mr. Ibrahim Akinsola Idris, popularly known as Aloma Elewi Kilo Kilo, shared insights into the Unit’s responsibilities and expressed its willingness to support students. The engagement also highlighted opportunities for stronger collaboration between the Unit and the Union, with a shared commitment to fostering effective communication and advancing students’ interests. As a Union, we remain committed to constructive engagement that promotes students’ welfare and ensures that the voices of Unilorites are heard. MODEL AND EFFICIENT UNILORITES, We stand in solidarity with our colleagues representing the University of Ilorin at the 15th West African University Games (WAUG) in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife. In a show of support, the Students’ Union President, alongside the Dean of Students’ Affairs, visited the University’s contingent to encourage the student-athletes and other members of the delegation. The visit reaffirmed the Union’s commitment to the welfare of our colleagues, while inspiring a sense of belonging, unity, and pride in the University they proudly represent. The University of Ilorin finished eighth at the just-concluded competition, securing an impressive haul of 16 medals: six gold, four silver, and six bronze across Athletics, Chess, and Badminton. The Union celebrates our student-athletes for their dedication, resilience and outstanding representation of the University.
