I’m not going to rush to judgment on Jim Leonhard’s defense. It’s impossible to flip a defensive roster to an ideal fit in one offseason. There are some positions where it looks like he’s using square pegs with round holes.

Last comment on this topic for a minute. The start of this season with the #Bills defense is awfully similar to last season. In 2025 McDermott took the reigns ftom Babich and stabalized things. The difference this season, it's Leonhard or nothing.

McDermott had his flaws (for sure) but he unlocked something in Bishop last season and had made Benford look borderline All-Pro for a few seasons. That's completely gone now, replaced with, whatever the hell we are seeing now.
