Today I call upon the blockchain industry to calmly begin planning for "bunker mode". My personal recommendation is to set in motion a controlled mass migration of assets to fresh addresses, i.e. addresses whose pubkeys remain hidden behind a hash.
Holders, starting with large and sophisticated ones, should consider moving the bulk of their funds to addresses that have never signed a transaction. And when they do sign one, they should also move remaining funds to a new address (possibly generated from the same seed phrase).
Don't rush. While I believe there is cause for action a rushed migration would do more harm than good. Don't panic either. Moving assets to protected addresses is a simple, preventative step which does not require new cryptography or new wallets.
IMO it is now reasonable to brace for the possibility that ECDSA breaks before qday, in the worst case in months not years. By "break" I mean fast private key recovery (e.g. in one week) on available hardware (e.g. a large GPU cluster).
Recent days have been humbling for human mathematical intuition. Long-held, unquestioned hypotheses have fallen. This includes the n log(n) bound for integer multiplication and the 3SUM conjecture. In hindsight, May's unexpected disproof of the Erdős unit distance conjecture was our warning shot.
Yesterday's OpenAI drop made it clear that mathematical superintelligence is upon us. They say there are weeks where decades happen. We are about to live through weeks where centuries of mathematical progress happen. Could our magic 64-byte ECDSA signatures be too good to be true? Was it just security through obscurity all this time?
Elliptic curves feel especially vulnerable to superintelligence. Curves carry rich structure, with room for fancy tricks like Schoof, Frobenius, pairings. (By contrast, hashes are designed to minimise algebraic structure.)
Separately, as Ewin Tang can attest, an efficient quantum algorithm sometimes foreshadows an efficient classical one. We should be open to the possibility of a classical counterpart to Shor that breaks elliptic curves and RSA at once.
Also noteworthy is the striking under-representation of cryptographic breakthroughs among the 722 mathematical results OpenAI published. I've witnessed first-hand the US government censoring academic quantum cryptanalysis results. Backroom interventionism is my base case.
I urge large, sophisticated actors to lead by example. Project11's "risq list" (bitcoin-risq-list.projecteleven[.]com) is a great tracker of exposed BTC pubkeys. Binance, Bitbank, Robinhood, Bitfinex, and Tether have an opportunity to harden their cold storage. Next month I'll address institutions in London in a live Q&A (forum.ethereuminstitutional[.]org/london-2026).
Again, please do not rush. Wallets holding under 50 BTC enjoy partial cover from "Satoshi's shield", i.e. his 20K exposed addresses that hold 50 BTC each. Load-bearing signers like oracles and L2 security councils should consider rotating ECDSA pubkeys with every signed message and/or multi-signing with a hash-based schemes like SPHINCS.
Exiting bunker mode safely will require post-AI cryptography. My inclination is to go all-in on hash-based cryptography and avoid structured mathematical assumptions entirely, whether from curves, lattices, or isogenies. A single battle-tested hash (e.g. from the SHA or BLAKE families) yields plausible post-AI security.
The Ethereum roadmap on strawmap[.]org fully embraces hash-based cryptography with end-to-end formal verification as a response to the quantum threat. Those timelines must now be revisited and accelerated in light of mathematical superintelligence. I'll be pushing for maximum defensive acceleration.

When a man with money meets a man with experience, the man with experience walks away with money and the man with money walks away with experience.
At first glance, this may sound reasonable—but it is actually a false equivalence.
DEXs and CEXs serve fundamentally different roles.
Open, permissionless access belongs to DEXs; responsibility, standards, and accountability belong to CEXs.
A DEX is a pure self-custody tool. The service provider is not an intermediary and does not control users’ funds. Users who interact with DEXs understand—or should understand—that they are using a tool and assuming full responsibility for their actions. As SEC Chair Paul Atkins has stated:
“The right to have self-custody of one’s private property is a foundational American value that should not disappear when one logs onto the internet.”
By contrast, CEXs custody users’ funds, much like banks. As a result, they carry clear obligations around AML, sanctions compliance, fraud prevention, and consumer protection. CEXs are not neutral pipes. They intermediate trust, hold operational responsibility, and therefore have a duty to protect users, not simply list everything that exists.
Conflating DEXs and CEXs is not openness.
It is an attempt to avoid responsibility.
This fundamental distinction reflects a long-standing difference in values between OKX and Binance.

After recent conversations with several leading market makers and VC partners, I’ve gathered some harsh but real takeaways to share with everyone:
1/ Altcoins are fading
A year ago, I mentioned that VCs had largely stopped investing in early-stage Web3 projects—now it’s even more pronounced. The Black Swan event on October 11 dealt a devastating blow to altcoins. Retail investors trading altcoins face a terrible risk-reward ratio.
Let’s be real—the alt season will not come in 2025 or 26.
Exceptions? Infrastructure projects with real-world resources, such as stablecoins, RWA, and payment solutions—but these types of projects likely won’t even issue tokens.
2/ The DAT bubble is deflating
There’s little genuine demand for long-tail Digital Asset Tokens (DATs). Recent deals have mostly been "in-kind" swaps—tokens for equity.
From the perspective of project teams, token holders, and financial advisors, raising DATs makes sense because it helps raise funds. But for investors—whether you're a private participant before a DAT goes live or buying in later in stock market—you’re likely to end up on the losing side.
3/ Current strategy: Know where we stand, proceed with caution
Trading isn’t easy right now. This isn’t like one or two years ago when you could “buy without thinking,” but it’s also not the peak of a bull market where you should “sell without thinking.” The real market top will arrive amid mindless euphoria—not in the current climate of fear. (NFA, DYOR)
▪️ Those holding cash: Some family offices have approached me, planning to allocate 5–20% to BTC. I think that’s reasonable—the BTC/gold ratio is at a relatively low level.
▪️ Those fully invested or using leverage: I’ve said it before—reduce leverage now and shift to a defensive stance.
▪️ Those partially invested: Stay patient, keep your positions steady, and wait for the right opportunities.
4/ Post-October 11 aftermath: The market needs time to heal
Weekly trading volume across CEXs has dropped by 20–40%. Market makers have also taken a hit—some major players even got liquidated after increasing leverage (I won’t name names here). Large capital is generally more risk-averse, and everyone needs some time to regroup and recover.
In summary:
Bull markets are born in despair and mature in doubt. We are currently in the "doubt" phase. Let go of get-rich-quick fantasies, above all - make sure you stay in the game.

$BNB hits new ATH at $1,246
Let me explain why CZ has been right all along and why most traders still don’t get it
Since BNB’s inception, CZ kept repeating the same message through every bull cycle:
“Hold $BNB. Build with Binance. Support the ecosystem.”
While everyone was:
- Chasing 100x meme coins
- Rotating into every narrative
- Getting rugged by low caps
- Panic selling every dip
CZ was systematically building:
- The world’s largest exchange
- A functional high-speed chain
- Real utility that compounds
- An ecosystem that rewards holders
I’ve held $BNB since 2020.
Here’s what most traders completely miss:
The passive incentives from JUST HOLDING $BNB outperform 90% of active altcoin trading
Let me break down the actual returns:
1. Trading Fee Discounts
Direct ROI on every trade you make
2. Launchpad Access
This is the big one nobody talks about enough.
Recent example: $XPL airdrop
- Free tokens just for holding $BNB
- Immediate profit on launch day
- Zero risk, pure upside
Each launch = free money for $BNB holders
3. BNB Chain Ecosystem Growth
-5,000+ dApps running
- $8.9B+ total value locked
-Constant innovation and expansion
4. Deflationary Tokenomics
- Quarterly burns reduce supply
- Your % of total supply increases
- Scarcity drives long-term value
5. Infrastructure Moat
- Backed by real exchange revenue (billions quarterly)
- Not dependent on hype cycles
- Survives bear markets while others die
People see this vertical chart and think “overbought” or “it’s too late”
These are the SAME people who said that at $300, $500, $800.
Meanwhile, $BNB holders collected:
- Trading discounts every day
- Free airdrops every month
- Launchpad allocations every quarter
- And watched their stack appreciate 24.9x
From $50 to $1,246 without trading.
Just holding.
The brutal truth:
Most traders will never make it because they focus on TRADING instead of HOLDING quality assets.
They:
- Chase quick 2x flips
- Ignore real fundamentals
- Sell winners way too early
- baghold garbage too long
- Miss the free airdrops entirely
Meanwhile, $BNB holders literally get PAID to hold:
Every Binance Launchpad project = Free tokens
Every quarter = Token burn
Every year = Ecosystem expansion
This is what CZ meant when he said
“Hold $BNB”
He wasn’t talking about price speculation
He was talking about building a position in an asset that:
- Generates passive income
- Compounds value over time
- Survives every cycle
- Rewards long-term vision
Let’s do the math on Launchpad alone:
If you held 10 $BNB (roughly $12,460 now):
You would have received free airdrops from 30+ projects over the past few years.
Even if only 50% of those projects performed well, that’s 10-15 profitable airdrops
Some did 5x on launch day
That’s free money just for holding.
ZERO trading required.
ZERO risk.
ZERO stress.
This is the model 95% of traders ignore while they:
- Stress about entries and exits
- Pay fees on every trade
- Chase pumps and dumps
- Lose money on leverage
$BNB holders just… hold and collect.
The lesson for this bull market?
Stop chasing every narrative
Start identifying assets that:
✓ Generate passive returns
✓ Have real utility
✓ Reward long-term holders
✓ Will exist next cycle
Then develop the discipline to HOLD them through:
- Market volatility
- FUD campaigns
- Competitor pumps
- Your own impatience
CZ has been preaching this since 2017.
Most traders didn’t listen at $50.
Didn’t listen at $300.
Didn’t listen at $600.
Are you going to listen now?
Or watch the next move from the sidelines while $BNB holders collect their next airdrop?
$BNB isn’t just a token.
It’s a long-term wealth-building system.
That’s why the chart looks like this

My biggest losses happen when I hit the certain profit amount and then market retraces, and then I keep trying to go back to that level again. You don’t think about the profits you made, you just get obsessed about that number and keep gambling to go back there..

One hundred years ago, people believed stocks were a scam, it is ridiculous from todays perspective
I believe it will be ridiculous from a future perspective regarding digital assets as well & to profit in the market we gotta look into the future & learn from the past
Lots of alts been bottom ranging for the past 3 years. So have stocks in the past. Either they are truly dead & will be the first asset class in history to reach a trillion dollar market capitalization and vanish or we are in for something amazing yet
Majority of alts are still in depression phase. A cycle top in that environement does not make much sense to me. Don't give in to the bear porn just yet

No matter what other accounts say, there will be a -70% bear market in $BTC
It just means they are new (not being mean just saying it how it is.)
Every cycle they say there will never be a bear market again. Don’t let them make you complacent
It just won’t happen right now

I like @captain_kole.
Kole is a good trader, contrary to popular belief amongst the average CT joe. He uses technical set ups, liquidity, and more to ascertain trades, ideas, and uses proper invalidation, something majority of CT fail to understand.
For Kole, his words and actions recently have piqued my interest as an observer of CT, and CT 'main characters' for psychology purposes.
Kole, and his world, went on a generational run in the last chopsolidation in 2024. Infamously, Kole was able to short the pico local top ($70-$71k from memory?), with SIZE, and roll in many profits, shrouded with popularity and his account on CT grew immensely - launching itself into the lore of CT.
What went wrong for Kole was that stardom of CT and becoming the 'main character' began getting to his head. Such a path to stardom was "littered with jars of greed."
I can't 100% recall the turn of events, but I believe he ended up closing these swing shorts far too early, longed with size the other direction, was rekt a little, then re-shorted to the downside which worked initially - but failed to sustain, as greed took over.
On this warpath to being "right" at every turn, Kole decided to gamble his fate with the super forecaster - @trading_axe. Once gain, my memory isn't the finest, but something along the lines of a "$48k before $65k" bet - loser deletes their account and leaves CT for good.
The result? $65k came, Kole World obliterated, and like a man of his word - his account was deleted and the path to new All Time Highs for Bitcoin was set ablaze.
Why is this relevant? Recently, Kole has been smashing the pivots in this market once more. Correctly calling tops, correctly calling bottoms, calling for higher when most are calling for lower, and vice versa.
Some mistakes like any trader in between. No one is perfect.
The reason I am noting this mentally from a psychological perspective is the predictive psychological shift in the current chopsolidation that ruined the hopes and dreams of many in that prior chopsolidation in 2024 - Kole included.
In real time, you are seeing a predictive market structural shift on a medium time frame from bearish, to bullish, with psychological fears and euphoria peaking on every Higher Low and Higher High being put in here, after a series of detrimental Lower Highs and Lower Lows (exact same as 2024).
Will The World of Kole regret selling this rip like last time? Or will he continue to reign supreme on these overly zealous calls?
A man once told me this cycle is all about "buying the dips, selling the rips"... Eventually there will come a time this cycle where selling the rip ends up ripping your soul out from your chest.
Much like those that sold the rip out of the 2024 chopsolidation.
Time is a flat circle.
Even on CT.
One may observe this is coming full circle.
Perhaps, a bet is on the cards once more to ascertain whether $90k comes first or new All Time Highs do on Bitcoin?
I will be closely studying any behavioural movements from here of those that came before me.
Just as Kole did.
Oh, lastly, I really want to know where Kole does his AI imagery - it is generational. If anyone knows, please provide insights.
Until another tale of CT is dissected.
Good luck out there, traders.
Jago, an observer of many things.
