I promise you there is no script that says “if you think the offense is struggling, don’t pull your SP for the 1st good lefty bat but pull him for the 2nd one and bring in a struggling RP who doesn’t pitch in back to backs and spams the exact pitch the batter smashes”

If you are going to do a well actually, I will take great please in doing the same to you
The Trojan Horse isn’t in the Iliad. You can, however, find a depiction of it in the Aeneid - “The Trojan Odyssey”
Maybe you shouldn’t dunk on someone when you haven’t a clue about it

The same “SAG” that has Notre Dame (4th) ranked ahead of Alabama (7th)?

You have to take a deep breath and let it go. You’ve been going on about this all week. There is nothing wrong with the team currently ranked 5th in FPI currently holding a playoff position as the 9 seed. That is reasonable. You can’t argue against math. Save your breath

Cora asking a player he knows can’t bunt to bunt, watch him go down 0-1 on an awful bunt attempt, and keep the bunt on anyway is on Cora not the player. Do you blame Whitlock for not being able to execute 50 effective pitches? No. A manager has to know his player’s limitations

Finally someone smarter than me saying this publicly. Catch probability is extremely fun and great in the aggregate, but we have to be open about the potential for the error bars on individual plays to be uncomfortably large, especially on the plays we care enough to look up
Umpires are so ridiculous. Walker Buehler is the one who stepped too far out of his position? Lol okay
I need to know what Walker Buehler said because on the video evidence alone Mike Estabrook should not have a job tomorrow
One of my favorite parts of national championships is we get to hear all the opinions from people who never watch the sport
I have to give it to Penn State. I was wrong about them. They absolutely were of ND’s caliber, and they very well may have been a superior caliber with a fully healthy Carter.
Norte Dame, of course, has overcome more injuries than anyone.
Indiana looked bad tonight. And Notre Dame barely had to try. However, I think it’s wrong to jump down Indiana’s throat. There is a legitimate possibility Notre Dame is the best team in the country. We will see when they play Georgia. ND opened as the favorite for a reason
The committee boxed themselves in by continually putting out completely unserious rankings. They made the right decision based on what their rankings were last week. But because they didn’t take their job seriously early in the process, the end result is the worst possible

For the full Rafaela infield experience you have to also watch two plays prior

Defensive metrics should only be used in aggregate for a reason.
It’s obvious this catch would not be made 99/100 times.
Catch Probability’s inability to factor in environmental conditions gets lost in the aggregate, but it is obvious when looking at specific catches.
(1/4) A day later and the #Survivor45 finale is still not sitting right with me. We had an awesome and deserving winner, the closest vote in years, and a result that perfectly encapsulates how Survivor has evolved over the years (compare to Season 8). But the editors…
I’m loving the discourse around the CFP playoffs, but the idea that excluding FSU means that games don’t matter is absurd. FSU was excluded BECAUSE the games matter. The committee actually watched the games, and determined FSU did not belong. They did their job. The games matter
