For millions of people living in rural communities, getting timely access to specialized trauma care can be a challenge. Dr. Park authored training materials about using telehealth to connect local hospitals with trauma experts to improve access to care & support better outcomes.

The Nomellini Lab investigates how trauma, sepsis & burns disrupt the immune system during/after ICU stays. By understanding why recovery differs between patients, the team is working to develop personalized therapies that restore immune function & improve outcomes for patients.
