This picture was taken right after we lost both our homestand games…definitely one of the lowest points of the year. But I've always believed that winners are made not by how they win but by how they recover from their worst losses….and after this brutal loss the team called an emergency meeting, rented a hotel conference room, and everyone came together and talked all night about wtf we needed to do to be better. This road to the championship was the hardest one we've been on. We lost more than we're used to losing, but when it got hard this team came together and helped each other stand back up. These small things, players and coaches and staff doing a lot of work nobody will ever see and just not stopping, that's the part of today I'm happiest and proudest about. And even more than that…the other core memory I'll keep is all the fans who stayed with us on the road even after our losses and kept cheering for our players. Now the road goes to Worlds!
