🚨 BREAKING: Ayodele Jamgbadi kills train station worker in London because he was angry that he missed his train, a court hears. The accused is deemed unfit to plead. • Ayodele Jamgbadi, 30, of Ilford, is accused of punching Mr Ortega, 61, in the face on 4 December 2024 after missing a Stratford-bound train. • Prosecutors say the station assistant came out to calm him after he kicked an advert frame. Mr Ortega fell, hit his head on the platform and died two days later from a severe traumatic brain injury. • Jamgbadi is being held in a psychiatric hospital. • Mr Ortega had worked on the railway for 24 years. • The jury will not be deciding whether he is guilty or innocent. The case is a “trial of issue”, in which the jury will be asked whether he punched Mr Ortega, and whether the punch was a significant cause of Mr Ortega’s death. The trial continues at Inner London Crown Court.
