Investing in education means investing in the future of Belize’s children.
Today, the U.S. embassy celebrated the launch of a nearly US $22 million partnership between Millennium Challenge Account Belize, School to School International, and Florida State University, in collaboration with Ministry of Education, and the University of Belize.
Over the next five years, this partnership will strengthen teacher training and school leadership, expand digital learning resources, and equip Belizean students with the skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce.

Yesterday, we heard directly from a survivor of this human trafficking program, and we continue to call on countries participating in these programs to hire these workers ethically and stop funding the regime’s human rights abuses by ending these exploitative arrangements.
