Next we're highlighting Gerhard Mengel, class of 2006. A legend in Michigan & nationwide, Gerhard has been involved at every level of soccer. He was awarded the Werner Fricker Builder Award and countless other accolades. Even today you can still find him roaming the sidelines.

Today weβre featuring Werner Fricker. Before his time at USSF, he was dedicated to USASA. He spent time building the game with the Philadelphia United German-Hungarians, the United Soccer League of PA, and the EPSA. The Frickers continue his legacy and are still involved in USASA

We are sad to share the passing of Alex Ely. A @USMNT player, Ely was a member of @soccerhof. Ely played famously for @UkrainianNats, also coached & played at many local historic clubs in #EastPenn #USLPA communities. He was a past president of the USLPA

We are going to say 'soccer doesn't matter to us at this moment'. We just got word that the father of founding member @ventur514 (Rest In Peace, Eric) Paul Shertz, got to ring the bell today after 3 years of cancer treatments. We love you, Paul. Congrats! #family #fuckcancer
