Bighorn River streamflow quickly rose last weekend, so we've been making measurements to ensure online real-time data is accurate. Streamgage at Kane has been recording flows that haven't been seen since the late 1990s. Find real-time data at: ow.ly/IsEO50OYxQh

We typically can't wade rivers during high flows, so we use other equipment and methods to collect samples that integrate the water across the entire width of the river. Bridge crane and cableways have been around a long time, but get the job done. #waterqualitysampling
Streamflow in Deer Creek near Glenrock responded to recent rains, and by yesterday evening provisional data showed flow was around the second highest flow on record (33 years of data). Real-time and historical data: waterdata.usgs.gov/monitorin…
