Sustainability progress!
Galen Center started solar panels installations this Saturday. It is the biggest solar project to be conducted at the university so far and is part of President @PresidentFolt’s dedication to creating a greener @USC.

Update on DivestSC's ongoing talks with the USC administration regarding the university's disclosure, divestment and reinvestment of its fossil fuel holdings.
This weekend we visited the USC Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies on Santa Catalina Island and we would like to go back now, please. Thank you @USCWrigleyInst!
Georgetown will implement a new policy to cease new investments in fossil fuel companies and divest from fossil fuel investments over the next decade. This step is part of the university’s broad commitment to sustainability.

This past Friday, in a major step forward for the #DivestSC campaign, USC disclosed its fossil fuel investments. Only days after over a hundred USC students gathered to demand that USC disclose its fossil fuel investments, divest from environmentally destructive sectors,
an independent confirmation of USC's investments, a detailed and publicly announced plan for full divestment and reinvestment of our fossil fuel holdings, and a commitment to sustainable practices moving forward.
Together we can push for these key steps and
make USC the largest private college to ever divest from fossil fuels! Sign the petition (bit.ly/divestSC) and follow @uscesa here and on instagram to keep up to date with #DivestSC going forward. Thank you for supporting a greener USC!

Our @USC students will hold this event tomorrow to encourage the campus to divest from fossil fuel investments. I’ve met some of the student organizers. They are thoughtful, serious, and focused on the future. Attend if you can. Sustainable SC is on the rise.
