Blatant disregard for human life - smugglers abandoned a 9 year old child and his mother.

It was an honor to thank the frontline workforce alongside @SecMayorkas in RGV. Together, we also met and thanked the local stakeholders who are an essential piece of border security.
USBP rescues have more than doubled when compared to all of FY20. This past weekend, El Centro saved 11 lives from the scorching heat. Thankfully, one of the migrants was able to request help by activating a rescue beacon. Great job, ELC! #firstresponders #borderpatrol #usbp
Ramey Sector agents along with Stonegarden partners collaborated to seize 220 kilograms of cocaine in three incidents this week! Another load of narcotics that won’t make it into our communities.
Great job, RGV!
One of the aspects of border security that often goes unnoticed but happens daily, are rescues to assist those in need along the border. An agent in RGV Sector carried a man to safety after falling from a cliff. Keep up the good work! #firstresponders #borderpatrol
While mustering up with the men and women of the Laredo South and Zapata station in Laredo sector, I had the opportunity to congratulate Special Operations Supervisor Sandoval on his retirement and present Chief Hudak with his Wall Commission.

Creating and maintaining relationships with our local partners is key to the success of our mission. Today, I met with Val Verde County Judge Lewis Owens to discuss our border strategy and our path going forward.
While visiting the Del Rio Sector, I was able to brief media on the state of the southwest border on sight where our agents are going above and beyond. #honorfirst #borderpatrol #usbp
While visiting the border in Del Rio Sector today, I had the honor of visiting front-line agents at muster. These agents are giving 100% every day to ensure the safety of migrants and the American people. #firstresponders #borderpatrol
