The DSCTA will welcome back its alumna, prizewinning author and journalist Patricia Evangelista, and jumpstart the Philippine tour of her highly acclaimed book, Some People Need Killing on 11 April 9:30 AM to 12:00 noon, at the Aldaba Recital Hall in UP Diliman.

The Department of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts is hiring four (4) full-time faculty for the the Second Semester of AY 2022-2023.

Registration for the first semester of AY 2022-2023 will run from 30 August to 02 September. Please take note of the waitlist schedule and the contact persons for class cancellations. We will be opening new Speech 30 sections. Students tagged as graduating will be prioritized.

We welcome our new and old graduate students in Speech Communication and in Theatre Arts to A.Y. 2022-2023. We are also happy to finally meet our pioneering batch of students in the Doctor of Philosophy (Performance Studies) program. May your stint in the DSCTA be productive!

DSCTA will be offering a graduate-level course on Directing Musical Theatre, to be taught by award-winning director Dexter Santos, whose most acclaimed and beloved works include Dulaang UP's "Orosman and Zafira", "Ang Huling Lagda ni Apolinario Mabina", and "The Kundiman Party".

The Department of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts will be offering the following graduate-level courses in the first semester of A.Y. 2022-2023.

REGISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENT There will be no teacher's prerog for Speech 30 classes in the first semester of A.Y. 2022-2023. Please follow the waitlisting module in CRS. Students with graduating status will be prioritized.
